Marijuna is covered in a tiny small layer of dust that is covering the bag and the minute you touch it it is on you as well. Whatever you touch after that is also covered in this thin layer of dust, which dogs can easily smell. If you are worried about dogs gloves are your best option. Handle the sack with I would suggest latex gloves and hide it in your car, preferably someplace high up since dogs have a bit of a harder time smelling there. Also dogs are still dogs no matter how much they have been trained if you ride with a cat the dog will be too confused by the cat smell to pinpoint the herb. This also works with roadkill, but I wouldn't put roadkill in your car. Rember the dust and latex gloves may sound like a pain but I keep a box of cheap CVS gloves in the car for all my sack handling and toss the glove right out the window when I arrive at my destination or am done hiding the sack. Its all about how bad you don't wana be caught.

You cannot hide anything from a dog by trying to mask the odor. If one were to put marijuana inside aluminum foil, inside coffee beans, inside mustard seeds, inside peanut butter, the dog would smell every odor individually. Dogs are super-smellers by nature, and can easily distinguish BETWEEN smells. Even air-tight containers are not foolproof. It's not that dogs are able to smell "through" containers, but rather the scent has permeated through the container to the outside. All odors are just tiny molecules that over time diffuse across the porous surfacr of ALL containers. The difference is just HOW porous different containers are and the length of time the marijuana has been inside. If one were to put tuna fish inside a zip-lock bag, there would be no odor at first, but after several minutes, the scent of the tuna will be painfully evident. Dreaded makes very good points. Hide high and use gloves if necessary. Never hid near tires, under your vehicle, or in your map pockets, consoles, or under floor mats as these are all in the dog's direct area of smell. Other good tips are to use urine sprays (hunting supplies) on your tires to help distract the dog's drive. Also, try stashing marijuana in an air-tight glass or metal contair (look for rubber seals) immediately prior to traveling to increase the liklihood of you arriving at your destination before the scent cones (molecules) have had too much time to develop on the outside of your container.

This is not something I'd experiment with... it's hard to fool a dog's nose. I've heard if you seal it really well for e.g. with packing tape, then hide it in a package of freshly roasted, freshly ground coffee -- also sealed -- you might fool a dog.

The best way to "TRY" to hide it would be with Columbian Coffee grinds. What you choose to put it in I'm sure you would consider air tight. I say "consider" and "try" only because how do we really ever know for sure.
Not here to judge you or aid you with illegal activity. If you are asking, it's likely you haven't made the decesion to keep away from illegal stuff. If caught by the police with anything that is illegal I'm sure you know it's never a good situation. Reasons why or why not use marijuana are all YOUR own because I know my whole life I've been no Saint. Paid the consequences and most likely would have NOT thought to listen to advice contrary to what I wanted to do.

put stash in a air tight bag, spray the bag with wd40 then put inside another bag,spray that one also. stash in vehicle, then spray the floor of the car with alot of wd40. this will not draw attention to the bag. the harsh vpors temporaroly impare the nose of the dog and will drive the dog away.

I know. A balloon (or anything super air tight). Be careful not to let the scent linger on the outside of the balloon (don't let the weed touch the outside of the balloon or stay in the same room as it for too long). If you want to be paranoid secure (paranoia is a pot head's best friend), cover the balloon in a thick layer a vaseline and put in a container. Bottom line, completely segregate the air touching your stash and the air touching the pig's nose. Be careful. We're talking AIR TIGHT here. NO MISTAKES!!! No More Drug War!!!

Check it out. The best way to avoid a police search is to not look suspicious. If you are going to be holding more than you can toss without being noticed then don't smoke weed on the way. Drive the speed limit, don't speed and don't drive 10 miles under. If you see a cop just go about your business. Don't look paranoid by checking your rear view constantly and use your turn signals stop at stop sings ect ect. In the event you do get pulled over turn on you dome light, turn off your car, turn on your hazards, roll down you window and have your license and registration ready. If the officer asks you if they can search the vehicle simply tell them no, that you would like to be on your way that you are not causing any trouble and that you have a prior engagement. It usually helps if you don't stutter and can make a clear statement about where you are going. If you are high, drunk, whatever then you are shit out of luck. If they search you anyway you might be able to get off with a good lawyer.
