    Genesis 3:19

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.

    ----

Under my interpretation it is absolutely correct and verifiable by science. We are formed from atoms in the earth, of the earth and the surrounding Universe. We come from that, we live our short time on earth, we die and we return to that.

It's simple, easy to understand, and it doesn't make me want to vomit while reading it. :)

----let love be without hypocrisy. abhor what is evil. cling to what is good. be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another ROMANS 12:9,10 ---- for we walk by faith, not by sight 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 ----no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me. says the Lord. Oh, there are so many!

    Genesis 1:30
"And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Apparently, God created mosquitoes and piranhas to eat plants.

    Genesis 7:13-14
"In the selfsame day entered Noah... and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind..."

Noah got all those animals on the ark in a single day.

    Exodus 4:11
"And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?"

God admits to making people with disabilities.

    Numbers 23:22
"God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn."

God has the strength of a unicorn.

    Judges 5:20
"They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera."

Really, the stars fought a battle?

I could go on, but, no, I have better things to do.

I don't really have a favourite passage in the Bible. I actually do believe that the Bible is the Word of God, though. It's hard for me not to believe that.

    Isa 1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Isa 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Isa 1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Matthew 27:5 ... then Judas went out and hanged himself ...

Luke 10:37 ... go ye now and do thou likewise ...

While these are two different ones, and while they are out of context, they are my favourite two to quote back at annoying Bible pushers who attempt to force their Bible based religion on me.
