Sure. Nearly every political party in the world has a plan for peace. Enacting it, though, is another matter entirely...

    The Plan!

    !

Robin Williams, wearing a shirt that says "I love New York" in Arabic.
Robin Williams' plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!)

"I see a lot of people yelling for peace
but I have not heard of a plan for
    peace. So, here's one plan."

    1) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their
affairs, past &present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega,
Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those "good ole boys", we will never
    "interfere" again.

    2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with
Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want us
there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through
    holes in the fence.

    3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave.
We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be
gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're
    illegal!!! France will welcome them.

    4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days
unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed
in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here.
    Asylum would never be available
to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

    5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If
they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

    6) The US will make a strong effort
to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing
nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the
Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

    7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for
their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere
else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the
    storage sites would be enough.)

    8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will
not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement
or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given
to the army. The people who need
it most get very little, if anything.

    9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need
the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a
good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

    10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can
call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn
    it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer
saying "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses." She's got a
baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' "

Unfortunately, some who want peace want it only if they are in control. It was the stated goal of the USSR to control the world and they were willing to war with other countires to get it. Some of the problematic groups in the world state openly that their plan for peace includes wiping Israel off the map and killing all the Jews. I believe (my analysis, not universally-agreed truth) Al Qaeda's plan for peace involves destroying western culture and subjecting the whole world to their interpretation of sharia (i.e. Muslim rules for living). Many other examples could be given.

Yes, many people, nations and groups have plans for peace, but each group's plan for or interest in the peace seems to be rejected or abused by one or more other groups.

You don't have to plan for peace, you just do it. It's like that great quote from Einstein, I think it was, "Theres no way to peace, peace is the way".

Alot of people have a plan for peace, but nobody has ever had one that works. And I seriously doubt they ever will. Because not everybody wants peace.

Everyone wants peace, unfortunately we can't agree on how that peace should be achieved or what form it will take. Dictators believe that peace will only be achieved when they control everything and ALL opposition to their rule is subdued. Even then, depending on their mental health, they may still imagine and/or create continued opposition to their rule by being needlessly cruel to their subjects.

Pacifists think that peace can be obtained by lying down and not resisting the aggressive advances of others. ("If we don't threaten them, then they will leave us along.") Unfortunately, this type of attitude just empowers the dictators and makes it easier for them to spread their brutal rule to others.

In between these extremes, you have various gradations on these themes. As long as there are people out there that seek to impose their will on others through what ever means necessary, there will not be peace. It is incumbent on the free people of the world to stand against the dictators of the world and to stand up for the rights of all people. Unfortunately, the free people of the world can't even agree on how best to do this.

Once here now gone... now back?

Peace will come when mankind can set down its ego and bury its fear.

We all say we want peace, but we don't believe in it or even practice it. Because everyone has conflicting ideals as to what the definition of peace actually is. Peace is only a temporary delusional fantasy, its just a momentary lapse of reason in a universe of chaos. It is mans quest to follow their beliefs and religions, these excuses, to write off human iniquity, to seek out his own end no matter the costs, oh, and with total disregard or compassion for the value of human life and human rights and liberty.

In short humans are very territorial and very much an instictive warlike people with very little resolve, but they do possess a raging malice and discontent for their own species. This persona of the human species nature, is powered by fear, and a loss of control over that power, this is all psychologicaly subliminal, smoldering deep in the subconcious, but it's there. Thus humanbeings have placed Gods, Political Leaders, and Personalities to assist us in leading and manipulating our own lives. Yet we have granted them this power of control only subliminally, because it is our nature to worship something greater than ourselves.

This subliminal, subconcious beleif, totally displaces what many would call true Anarchy, (but only temporarily) where government is obliterated and the people are under self rule, and seek out justice "tooth for a tooth, eye for an eye", many believe this to be the ultimate end, and only then will a true vision of peace reign. A pure warlike society, the perfect peace.

People do have a plan, and that is shown through the efforts of NATO, but due to human nature and man's desire to benefit one's self and ethnocentrism and other various aspects, it seems nearly impossible to unite all races of the world in peace and understnading, it is not happening due to past discrepencies amoung these many nations.
