If you have a good review of this movie, you probably also have a very good imagination. Perhaps you might assist the writers with the "third installment". The NY Times and NPR ripped this movie. Evidently it "just ends", runs out of material when the film is over, pointing to it's sequel. If you are a groupie of these flicks, you will still probably enjoy it. Also, while we are on the subject: would someone please divulge "Johnny D's" cell phone number, E-mail address, or something to satisfy these fawning girls that keep crying for something to satisfy their young lust for this matinee idol?

I thought the movie was as good as a pirate movie starring Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp could get. No complaints but I am not going to throw my prediction for best picture at it.

Actually, I thought it was pretty good. Not the best movie ever agreed- but a damn good romp. Johnny Depp is pretty good in it- he can be a very good comic actor at times, something people miss when they're drooling over his looks. And I think the Pirates films show him at his best- he really does look like he's having fun. Jack Sparrow really develops as this ambiguos anti-hero type - plus there's some nifty sexual tension going on between him and the Keira Knightly character. Lots of fun swordfights, some cannibals, a big scary squid and a Carribean witch with a wonderbra. Fantastic fun, totally over the top story- that's what you want from a pirate movie isn't it? I thought it was great, can't wait for the next installment. (And I may not want his e-mail address, but Johnny Depp DOES look quite hot in it. Warning: Red-blooded female viewers may develop bizarre pirate fetish)

I thought Johnny Depp was damn HOT!!! I didn't like Orlando Bloom to much in this one, probably because i don't care to much for Orlando. Davey Jones was really good. The flying dutchman too. The Kraken wasn't to bad, I've read other books about pirates and their backgrounds and The Kraken seemed to be more eviler than in Pirates. But it was an AWSOME movie and Johnny...LOOKIN' FINE!!!! Excellent, excellent and more excellent. I didn't even notice that it last 2 hours and 30 minutes. From the beginning the actors know how to plunge you into the plot and keep one captivated until the end...

Good movie and good plot but not as good as the first, but still very much worth watching
