It usually means that the program has stepped out of it's memory segment and gets an access violation. Could be a bug, upgrading may resolve it.

I think that is a scam. Got a similar message myself about a week ago. It said I had performed an illegal download and my internet account would be suspended. Nothing happened. Someone is having fun at your expense I think.

i have the same problem but with windows. i tried upgrading and when i did, i could no longer open internet explorer at all! be careful. Im sure if you do get someone who knows what they are doing to do it then you will be alright lol.

Netscape was always a clunky working browser on my Mac computers. I stopped using it years ago because it crashed often just as your question suggests. After experimenting with many browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) I found that Mozilla Firefox works best for me. It never quits suddenly, loads slowly, or freezes.
