  • I would ask in return, "Does that mean I have to agree not to date ANYONE? It's possible to meet someone in person even more easily than online, and you can't dictate what I do on my own time unless you are going to pay me for that time as well." I don't think prospective employers are allowed to ask that, anyway. Are they offering sign-on and longevity bonuses if you agree to that?

  • This is the most moronic thing I have ever heard. An employee can get hit by a bus the day after they start the job and that is more of a possiblity than just finding a love across the pond and moving. It's a job, not a marriage. This employer needs a reality check. The employer can dump your ass out any time they see fit, but the employee has to stay forever? I don't think so.
