they're like natural enemies. anything that kills you without anyone's involvement(you go off the edge of the map, you get hit by a train)

when you die without being shot, commiting suicide, being meleed, or being telefragged, that's just what it says

There is a cheat to kill yourself as the guardians

well if you mess up on a superjump, or maybe your doing something your just not supposed to be doing i.e. on headlong, on the place with overshields, if u get swords, and have one person go to the other side of the two thin walls, and swrod cacel, u will get stuck between the walls, and if u keep sword canceling you;ll get killed by the guardians.

and another thing, if you have one person charge the plasma pistol, and then while its charged, throw a plasma grenade on the glowing green part of the gun, it will say you got killd by the guardians.

I miss it when the Guardians where rare.

Theres a stage which can prove most of everyones theories. Find one with falling boxes (not empty ones) or a train aand get hit

Well, I usually get killed by the gaurdians when I am cheating (such as super jumping) so I think they try and prevent that...sometimes

They kill you when you exploit a glitch wrong like if you hold the a button about half a second before you hit the ground during a super jump.

Guardians are NPC's or non player computers that kill you when you leav a map, or if your about to die with no other players involvment, (becides suiecide). Such as, that map with the train. Like, when you get hit by it, it sais, you were killed by guardians. When the train is about to hit you, theres actuly a guardian who ramms you with a big beam sword that makes you explode or go flying. He is only in one train at a time. So if you get hit by a train, and you dont go flying or explode almost instanly, he is on the other train, but quikly flashes to the other train and hits you, 5 sec delay. There is atleast one guardian on any map. they look like spartans but with add ons or special weapons. You can kill them, but its nearly imposible because they are lighning fast. To see the one on the train, you have to play a multy player game and make it lag realy bad, than try to get hit by the train. youll aither see a bler, or a wierd looking spartin agout to ramm you with a big beam sword. theres other ways of seeing them on other maps, but i dont know how. If you do kill one you get an achivment. If you kill all of them you get a really good achivment. (SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE GUARDIANS)

Being killed by a "Guardian" happens when a glitch during multiplayer causes you to survive death. The XBOX itself recognizes that you should have died and kills you. Basically the "Guardians" are like judges waiting to throw a yellow card to kill a dead man walking. - Owennewo

the guardians are somewat anoying. they kill u when u do something that your not meant to do like fall through a wall or on terminal the train runs u over. i have attracted a black guardian on headlong on a local xbox(not xbox live)and it generally has any random weapon, ive evan had a scorpian tank come after me with no one driveing it.

things that prevent you from going anywhere that is not needed or shuold not be done

"They" are like these "things" that block are way from things that are not supposed to be done per se, glitch exploring... It can also be an invisble death wall which kills you if you fall in an unescapable hole...
