G'day Anonymous, Thank you for your question. There is a special exhibition on Renaissance Year in Budapest. http://www.budapestinfo.hu/en/ Lonely Planet says "Budapest's highlights include a cruise along the Danube, strolling along the riverfront or across romantic bridges, browsing through antique bookshops and jewellery stores, or 'taking the waters' at one of the city's many Turkish-style baths. The city is well laid-out, rarely confusing, and ideal for walking." http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/hungary/budapest/sights?ec_s_name=asc Wikitravel has an extensive list of attractions. These are centred on Castle Hill and along the Danube. http://wikitravel.org/en/Budapest Timeout says "Buda and Pest: two cities for the price of one, and with a fabled river, the Danube, in between. Bustling Pest has historical treasures from its Habsburg and Jewish past, while verdant, hilly Buda is a hiker’s heaven. Although Hungary joined the European Union in 2004, its capital retains an eastern mystique, with twisty old streets lined with beautiful architecture and a populace that knows the importance of not spending all one’s time working." http://www.timeout.com/travel/budapest Have a great time. Regards

Get a day trip to one of the horse farms. We went to a really cool one where there was a wonderful trick-riding show and where a foal tried to eat the sleeve of my silk blouse and where they gave us fire-water to drink (the local tangle-foot). We LOVED Budapest.
