My Philips model 50p8341 has no picture but we have sound. What's wrong?

TV signal that you see when turning on a working TV is two separate signals. Video and audio so having an audio signal does not indicate the TV is worth fixing . If you remove the back cover be careful where the wiring harness hooks to the picture tube as there are capacitors that hold a charge and you DO NOT want to discharge this with the conductivity of your body, the only safe suggestion I have for you is to look for any blown out fuses there are several and they can be replaced at any TV repair place just make sure you replace with same rating
