It's a pride thing. men have a desire to be the best and first at all things. Hence the reason there are hundreds of different sports and competitive activities in this world. Also, its nice to be remembered as the first. Also, some men are self-conscious, they may feel inadequate in some way and a virgin may not know any better so the guy feels like a conquerer of sorts.

Anyway, I think men like virgins because they don't want the women having any sexual experience to compare theirs with. It's an ego trip. The only problem I have with this topic is when some men prefer virgins and dump them once they've had sex with them. I've seen a few men treat it like a game. They talk the girl into giving it up by promising to be with them, and be faithful, forever. And after they've used them, they go chasing after another virgin. That's really devistating to her because she is innocent and takes it seriously, not knowing the guy is just playing around. So they give away something they can never get back, and are emotionally scarred for life. I've actually heard guys bragging about "popping that cherry" and how tight it was to their friends. Totally cold and cruel.

I’m thinking that men have developed the practical habit of hooking up with virgins simply because there are so many more of them available as the group of non-virgins is reduced by marriage and old age.
Men well past their teenage years are well aware of this shortage of available females when confined by proper society to “their age group” so they expand their sexual activities to include younger, more available females and this has absolutely nothing to do with them being pedophiles but only including such young “targets-of-opportunity”.
The incorrect presumption, in this thread, is the fact that when MEN and VIRGINS are included in the same sentence it was assumed by many that the VIRGINS are underage,,, the usual assumption made by mature females.
