Is it possible to run Windows Vista Beta using a virtual PC program running on a 32bit Win XP SP2 computer?

    how about if i run the Windows Vista off an external USB hard drive using a virtual PC program while the host computer is running xp?
    Will this work?

    By "virtual pc program" I assume you are reffering to what is called a boot loader. Yes, you can run the 32 bit version of Vista dual boot with xp, providing you have partitioned the drive to run both, prior to actually installing them. Xp is a rotten bugger in that it likes to hog the MBR when it's installed unless there's a boot loader in place prior to hold a spot open for an additional OS. XP does have some limited support for running two copies of itself, but as far as I know, at this time (vista still in beta) that doesn't extend to Vista.
