Change the system to make the odds even for both the gambler and the casino.

No one holds a gun to your head. That's why it's called gambling!

The casinos need an incentive to operate: profit. They can't make a profit if the odds are not in their favor, so there would be no casinos if the odds were even. That would be fine with me, but it would be the end of places like Las Vegas :)

That is very true, some people do win, others don't. It's about fun, excitement, and no one should bet more than they can lose.:)

What I am saying is there should be a regulation that evens out the odds to at least 60-40.They are almost stealing money from the gambler with the lousy odds.I know of no regular business that makes that insane amount of profit.

The Nevada Gaming Commission does strictly regulate casinos. There are a lot of rules, you can fall asleep rather quickly if you want to give them a go: http://leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-463.html

I guess the bottom line is ,is it fair to the gambler and not just fair to the casinos. They are making billions and people walk away loosing their homes.I don't find that ethical.

Well I'm not a big fan of gambling or casinos, but I think it's important to keep the personal-responsibility angle intact when making judgments about the situation. Everyone involved is over 21, the odds are no secret, and people have a choice to play or not play.
On the other side of the coin, gambling does a lot of damage to people who have addictions, and the something-for-nothing mindset for both the players and the houses isn't the most honorable thing in the world. I solve this problem by not going to Vegas.

I have been many times myself but never gamble.I know the odds and would not give them the satisfaction of my hard earned money.I still think the odds should be evened 50-50 but that is unlikely.Money talks and the casino have the money.Unless people stop gambling there things will not change.Thats life.
