What is the maximum capacity of the average human bladder?

    This is a great scientific question. On average, the adult bladder can hold a maximum of about 13 ounces of fluid. I once had to "hold it" for a long time & produced about 17 ounces of fluid, but I don't think it's a good idea to hold it in.

    i have to tell this but do NOT incurage any one to do this.i have to use a straw to urinate i measured my max amount it came to 47oz i dont want to intend to do it again i know it is not healthy i weigh 135 pounds so if 14-16 oz is max i want the guiness book record . and yes it was the max i could hold (very uncomfortable )
