You could say no but heaven help you if you ever need your neighbor's help for anything. Is it really such a problem to be nice to your neighbor? You are in Mass. for Pete's sake! What if she denied YOU access to heating oil in the winter? Give a little, will ya?

They wouldn't have to park for too long would they?

when I posted this question it only allowed me to enter a certain amount of words so I couldnt add more info. I moved in 1.5 years ago. She said the former owners of my home (who she was buddy buddy with) allowed her to do this. There really isn't any reason that I can see that her vendor NEEDS to do this. I have watched her oil vender access her tank from her yard entrance and it does not appear to be a problem. It appears that she's persuing this because she's upset that things did not remain the same when I moved in. I am not an un-neighborly person but I do enjoy my privacy. An then of course ther's my car. There is always the potental of my car getting damaged. No one in this park (including myself) has thier utility company pull onto thier lots. They deliver from the street. This was a "what rights do I have" question. Neither my lease nor my park rules state that I must allow something of this nature.

NO, you don't have to allow. She is taking advantage of you. You can think of this after 2 years.

Yeah to be square with you, you should probably just let her do it. It is the gracious thing to do. Pick your battles, as they say.

aside from your neighbor situation i am curious about how you like mobile home living. i am at age 52, looking to "down-size" from my single family to a mobile home. i find my options in massachusetts, at least on the north shore very limited. how are the parks in that area, or where else is a good place to look. what are the restrictions in a 55+ community? as i have a 17 yr old daughter, and a 18 yr old son any help? thank-you

phatti patti I myself downsized from a single family (8 room) house. It was a big adjustment at first but I really like mobile home living. In my area (western ma) there are a LOT of mobile home parks (some nice, some not so nice)that charge a very reasonable monthly lot fee. In my particular park, my monthly lot fee includes water, sewer, prop taxes and local trash fee. I pay my own utils (heat, elec, etc,) but it sure beats the astronomical expeneses I had when I own my home. I secured a large mob home with a front yard and a very private back yard, and aside from the problem that initated this post, I totally enjoy my space here. If you want, respond back and I can compile the names, addresses of some of the parks around here. BTW 55+ parks are just that; only for 55 and over. Unfortunately if your kids live with you, you would not qualify
