  • I rarely did my own homework. I'm sure as hell not gonna do their's.
  • Not if it's one of mine. :)
  • I think if were going to provide answers, they should be right. Or just nonsense...This is answerbag, we all came here for at least one answer before we became addicts, right?
  • Last time I did something like that I got slammed big time....downrates came out of the woodwork. I steer clear of homework questions and wish they would do what I did.....figured it out myself or looked in the encyclopedia . We didn't have computers back then. They have easy access to the WWW but they come here to ask....scheesh.
  • I think if your going to answer it should be in a helpful manner. Not do their work for them, but explain how it should be done. If not then we should ignore questions like those and they will get tired of being ignored and go away.
  • There's no reason not to HELP them do their homework, ie EXPLAIN HOW to do it, but personally, I don't see just GIVING them the answer... (see MY answer at http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/650106 and the questioner's comments). If there are multiple of the same TYPE, I can see answering ONE with explanation, then pointing to it and saying "THAT'S how to do it... AB is NOT to be used to DO your homework... AB is to HELP you learn to do your homework." BTW: See http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/588912 . You MAY want to point them to THAT one! ;-)
  • The problem I have is the lack of any effort that these people put into real research or even thinking something through for themselves, so maybe giving them mistaken information would actually encourage them not to be so lazy and ignorant. It's going to be hard to deliberately misinform or make a factual mistake but hey, it's a good cause.
