  • Look at oil prices now and tell me it has anything to do with oil. The fact is there are people in this world that hate us and our way of life. They will do anything and use any justification to destroy us. If we don't take the battle to them they will bring it to us. Have we forgotten the Trade Center Bombings or 911. I'm not justifying the Iraq war but if I were President I would go anywhere to defend my country and people.
  • To keep the terrorists on the run so they can not organize a large scale attack again. Oil has nothing to do with it. Oil prices are up because of so many other reasons.
  • It is more of the control of areas that have an abundant supply of oil, and a war of terror is used as an excuse to be in these areas.
  • To distract us into supporting bullshit ?
  • To terrorize the general populace into complacency so we don't notice when we lose our individual rights.
  • It's about fear, domination, oil and the creation of a fascist regime in the US, which has now come to pass:
  • Now wait a minute, I thought it was "The War on Tara!" at least according to P. Bush. The only thing I see as a point is a lot of money is being spent, lots of people, military and not are being killed, and most of all.....it is giving the media lots to talk about. Other than that.....????
  • To show the world who is "boss", of course...what other reason would there be?
  • There is no point, it's not something you can eliminate. There will always be two sides and one will always oppose the other. We are just spinning are wheels at our own expense, and not really accomplishing anything but killing many more innocent. Two wrongs don't make a right.
  • ooh, the war of Afghanistan. The war on Terror is NOT about IRaq. I hate it when people associate 9/11 with IRaq. the war on terror is 9/11. thats why we went to iraq to look for Nuclear Weaponry after word of russia helping to build them a nuclear power plant. GET IT STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • "War on Terror" simply means that we are not fighting against one or more countries, or associations for that matter. We can't say for instance that we are at war with Iraq, because we are not; likewise we can't say that we are at war with Al-Qaeda or the Taliban, because we are not. War on terror is a term we chose to use to describe our attempts at stopping a bunch of criminals who pretend to be fighting for a "good" cause, when in reality all they're doing in Iraq and other parts of the world is fueling their hatred.
