  • I'm not sure about dogs, but cats can have on average between 1 and 9 in a litter. It's usually about 4 though. I know that cats can get impregananted by more than one male too...so it depends.
  • Do you mean litters or progeny? A cat can be pregnant by two males and carry two sets of kittens one in each "horn" however usually one set will normally die/abort, although I have heard of kittens surviving from both litters, but not all of them. Cats to my knowledge can have up to 12 kittens, gawd help them! Dogs vary from one pup in some breeds to 13+ in others
  • The record number of kittens in one litter was 19, with 15 born alive, but the average is between 1 and 5. The world record number of pups is 24 with 20 surviving. The average for dogs is between 1 and 8.
  • One litter per cat or dog. Am I understanding your question correctly. Do you mean how many litters can they have in their breeding time? If so it depends how easy it is for the animal to get to another and procreate. For some it is easier than others as it is with people.
  • my dog just had 15 pups two litters one died was too small didnt get enough fed but have 14 healthy pups 8 gurls 6 boys
