Pedophilia is a mental illness, yes. Acting on that illness is a crime. They deserve to be in jail. It is also known to be in psychological circles to be the only incurable or filly controllable mental illness. the recidivism rate for pedophiles is in the 80% range.

I think they should be in an institution for they will get help from the doctors.In a prison there is nothing or nobody to psychologically help them.

If everybody could be able to meet with their mothers in flesh all children would be safety from the point of pedophilia!

Neither I think they should be in a cemetery after the parents of one of their victims blows their freakin head off with a 357 or a shot gun.

I have never seen any hard evidence that linked pedophilia to mental illnesses. I heard many claim it but nothing that convinced me. However I have yet to see any reform work or medication stop this horrible crime against children. Those that so-called payed for their crime come out and repeat it or worst. I would vote they be locked away from society never to be set free. I believe they should serve hard time working and all the profit earned given to the victims and the victims family until the criminal dies. Putting any convict to death solves nothing and thinking of rehabilitation is senseless. You can't changed what happened but maybe the money that can be made to help the victims would bring something good out of a bad experience. I would vote for a work farm prison.

I personally wouldn't be interested in either, these predators are a danger to any community and should be eliminated. Our children should be protected at all cost.

Certainly praying on innocent children who cannot possibly consent to sex is an atrocious crime. The problem I have is that the law can sometimes be very Draconian. For example, how can one justify labeling a sexual predator an 18 yr old boy who is having a consenting sexual relationship w/ a sixteen year old. When I was growing up in the 1970's this was so very common w/ no crminal liabilities...I mean they are both teengers w/ the same mental capacity. To condemn one to a life long label as a sexual predator under this scenario is not justice. There needs to be a compromise of some sort in this regard. For example, a 2 year age difference should not be punishable (19 yr old w/ 17 yr old, 18 yr old w/ 16 yr old)

I only just came across this now, you wont know me, nor will you ever, but I think its something like 60% or more who have been attacked will re-offend, because they had something taken from them that they want back, and a lot of them know its wrong, but cant help it. Imagine having this person have some kind of power over you all the time knowing that they had taken something so important in your life away from you. It’s not easy to deal with and I don’t approve of people doing it. We see this as very wrong, as do I, I don’t see if you know how it feels to have something like that taken away, why you would want to take that off someone else? I don’t think killing them would help, because they will always be reborn, its something in their brain, our brain says that wrong and disgusting there brain might say its right, no matter what we do it wont stop, we need to help these people so we can understand how there mind works, so we can stop it from happening. Criminal minds are hard to figure out, correction, minds full stop, why do people rape? Why do people kill? Why do people lie about a rape, all are as bad as another. Yet all have a reason. No matter what, you can’t stop it by killing them, but we can try and help it by finding out how they think and solving the problem.
