  • No way man
  • Wow, sorry you got downrated for this question... I think you could look at it like that, yes. I mean, I don't really believe in God or Satan, but you certainly could look at it like that, yes. It kind of seems that God is rather vengeful, and he killed a whole lot more people than Satan did, and anyways, if God is so loving and forgiving, the 'bowl of fire' thing seems terribly harsh... Mmm to be atheist and to not fret about such things... It's rather nice.
  • an satan deceived god he was a angel
  • Good question. Satan wasn't always evil. His name was Lucifer, but when he did evil and became rebellious his name changed to Satan, which in Hebrews, means "adversary," "enemy," or "accuser." God is good, and satan is the archenemy for everything that God stands for. This means, he is against good, and for evil.
  • This question is nonsense for a few reasons... Firstly, satan is an adjective, not a noun (and is used as such in the Bible; it doesn't 'name' the devil, it 'describes' him). Secondly, Lucifer is not the Devil. Lucifer is mentioned only 'once' in the entire Bible (Isaiah 14:12), and in that passage it is rather vague, describing either a fallen angel, fallen king, or fallen star, depending on how you read it (reading it again right now, I would say it most likely refers to a fallen king). Thirdly, in that passage, Lucifer (whoever he is) is cast down to Hell for being a wicked oppressor and exalting his throne above God. It says nothing at all of Lucifer 'standing up against God's tyranny, evilness and injustice', nor for standing up for good. Also, if you were referring to the Devil rather than Lucifer, then you clearly know nothing at all about the Devil. The Devil is satan to God, that is to say he is essentially the opposition to him. God is defined as ultimately good, therefore the Devil, as satan to God, is ultimately evil, or at least opposing that which is good. Anything the Devil does must be evil, intended to be evil, or otherwise anti-good, because that is how the Devil is defined. You have to understand that God and the Devil are so specifically defined that they are basically personifications of good and evil respectively. ***** So no, I don't think that Lucifer or the Devil are unsung heroes of the Bible, because Lucifer is described as wicked, the Devil is described as evil, and neither of them are said to stand up to God, merely try to subvert him in the Devil's case (or be exalted higher than him in Lucifer's case). Neither of them are said to stand up for good (infact, both of them are specifically opposing it).
  • Do you believe what the Bible says is true
  • I dont believe in either god nor satan. Lucifer tho so far if he existed is the one that has never lied. According to the bible(which I believe is as creditable as a comic book)gave us intelligence, via the biting of the apple, and so far hasnt wiped out cities, nor blown away innocent men, women or children.
  • My hero, +4 its all I can do...
  • The figure you're referring to in the Bible is always depicted there as god's servant, simply doing his bidding, so no.
  • the 'unsung hero' of the bible is far and away Jesus' real dad Joseph. think about it. here's a man who's fiance shows up pregnant and then instead of being honest about what happened she says 'God did it'. But, Joseph is cool with it, he loves her. Then she goes all over town spreading her 'God did me' story. Joseph goes ahead and marries the crazy whore. Then, the brat is born and Joseph raises it as his own. He tries to teach the boy a skill, but Jesus wants to be a rock star and tells him 'you aren't my dad, i'm the son of God!' Joseph deserved a medal or something for the bullshit he had to put up with.
  • I do think Satan is the unsung hero. I personally dont see him as bad at all.
  • Satan is clearly the hero of humanity. He gave us knowledge and his enemies felt threatened by that fact. So they tricked us into fearing our liberator (Satan), and try to keep us from knowledge. Look at the state of the world as a result.
  • Lucifer is an ingrate as far as I am concerned. God gave him life, authority, and a place in heaven and he just threw it away. God can do what he wants because this EXISTANCE is his playground. Imagine painting a masterpiece and that is perfect in your eyes. Somebody comes up to you and says that they would prefer different colors in every other way. You tell them that it is your painting and yours to do with as you see fit. This is one way of saying what happened to God. Satan wanted God’s masterpiece changed and wanted (and still wants) credit for painting it. But in the end it will be God and his omnipotence that wins this war.
  • What about Job?
  • No, Satan just reprensents the opposite of everything which the Bible stands for so if you are a non Christian the chances are you will support some of Satans points but not many of them. I think the whole image of satan going to hell for eternity was say this is what can happen if you do not follow the Bible. Ie the Christian God in the Bible created satan (as he was supposed to have created mankind) and satan went his own way without God and therefore got sentenced to hell. Satan was an invention of the Bible to inflict fear on people.
