Check the battery power... Or leave the battery charging for a minimum 30 min before turning it on again. If both fails, maybe you could try to run the laptop off ac power supply? Meaning just unplug the battery plug in the charger and try it. Most likely the laptop just ran out of power while playing as playing a game on a laptop does significantly use its power.

Often this sort of thing can be a power issue but more common with this symptom I think is overheating. Many laptops have cooling fans that try to keep the CPU cool while it's operating but people often inadvertantly cover the vents. Sometimes the fan blades clog up with dust too and reduce the laptops abillity to keep the CPU cool enough. If it overheats enough it could "three mile island" and be only good as a paper weight.

The same thing keeps happening to my laptop and its driving me mad! Its a Toshiba too and its been back to the shop twice already since I got it and its started crashing again mid-way through an application on facebook. Ive only had this laptop five months. How annoying!

If it won't turn on at all you most likely have a power problem. Check everything from the fuse in the plug right through to the connection on the laptop itself.

Too many things to count, could be the motherboard, could be the power, could be almost anything, 1 little chip or transistor smokes and poof no more computer. 1 other thing i failed to mention it could be the power button as well, list goes on and on.
