Well, it's a cool question.......now we know that we use radiodating techniques on rocks to determine the age of rocks.......but how do we get em'.....???? Well, there are several theories n methods.....one of which is based on the idea that earth was formed at the same time when the rest of the solar system was formed........so, any meteor landing on earth acts as a sample of rock dating back to that period. Again, rock samples collected deep from within the pacific ocean, the untouched antartic ice sheaths and the volcanoes also act as our rock samples for testing the age of earth.
