  • I just googled "credit card no credit check" and several things came up including www.discovercard.com I got my first credit card through Capitol One. Hope that helps!
  • I had this happen to me. I'd suggest joining a credit union and getting a card through them. You could also try getting a store credit card (like Dillard's, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Macy's) or a gas card and pay them off IN FULL every month. After about 6 months (though I'd give an extra 2-3 months at least to make sure the cards are reporting), you'll have a FICO score. You may also want to check with a bank you have a relationship with (savings, checking, etc) to see if you can get a card through them. Just make sure that you pay the card off in full by the due date to avoid finance charges/interest and be aware that some cards charge an annual fee, activation fee, or application fee. These are generally subprime cards and you should stay far away from them if at all possible. Bank of America has a program where if you don't qualify for one of their cards, you can put up $99 and for a secured card and they'll give you a $500 credit limit. I'm unsure of annual fees, but you can convert it from a secured credit card to an unsecured credit card in time. There are other secured credit cards out there and all I can think of charge an annual fee. Almost all will change to an unsecured card after a year or two of good history. My first choice, however, would be for you to go to a credit union. Best of luck!
