If I were a billionaire I'd buy infosearch media!
I'd buy investments in my family's future and in a better world.
I would go around doing random things that don't make sense...Like go to a car lot and buy all the cars and then sell them off the lot for 5 dollars...Why?...So the next day some guy can tell his friends "Dude's yesterday they were selling BMW's for 5 dollars and ya'll missed it, It was like the greatest day of my life you should've been there"
I would change my money to the Eurodollar first for the stability is good and it is rising quickly. I would invest in business in 3 world countries,doubling,or tripling the wages of the local workers who work in the companies I would buy. I would realize my fortune and help the workers to gain a better life.That way the economies of 3rd world countries would quickly rise for my competitors would have to follow my lead.Then poverty would be gone,and I would have been the first billionaire to help other countries for my profits are nothing if the workers are not living in style as well.
Houses for my family members, and cars that in theory shouldn't break down. Stocks and Bonds, Clothes, a house for myself of course. I would buy necessary items for my new house, and necessary items for my family member's houses. I'd buy lots of things.
I would buy:
-an island
-a plane
-a huge boat
-an Oxford Education
-an amazing PRS guitar
-an amazing Mesa Boogie amp
-a Grand Piano
-a huge mansion which I designed(I have designed a house previously, not to be built)
-and the rights to answerbag
That sounds like almost enough money to buy love!
Well i think i was a billionare i would buy my mum and dad anything they wanted, because if it wasnt for them i would not be here and they have looked after me for all my life, and i would keep some for a rainy day and i would give a percentage to different chariteies.
To make the answer short:
I would give ten per cent to my family. Of the remaining, I would set up a charity with fifty per cent ($ 450 m.) and I would use the remaining $ 450m. to lead a pleasant and elegant life.
The longer version of the answer is a bit more complicated. Living a pleasant and elegant life takes a bit more planning :-)
Basically I would opt for a "old money lifestyle", with a cottage in Newport, RI, and a coop on Fifth Avenue, NY. However, getting admitted by the board of a coop isn't exactly easy, so my challenge would be to pursuade the board that I would be the right kind of person. My eyes are set on an apartment in 1040 Fifth Avenue, which is for sale for $ 24m. (See: http://www.bhsusa.com/detail.aspx?id=781646) Jackie O. used to live in the apartment, so I suppose the board would be quite picky with whom they admit. My strategy would be to support various old-money institutions in New York. This would include $5-10m. donations to Metropolitan Museum of Art, Frick Collection, Metropolitan Opera, School of American Ballet, Julliard School, Bellevue Hospital Center, The New York Philharmonic and the Dalton School. Outside NY I would support American Red Cross, Yale University and in Newport I would make a $ 25m. donation to the Newport Preservation Society; Part of this donation would be earmarked to the purchase of the Astor Estate in Newport, Beechwood, which currently is for sale for $ 18m. (http://liladelman.com/property-details.asp?id=1472&PageFrom=SearchResults).
Other than the donations I would purchase a "cottage" in Newport. My eyes are set on "Champ Soleil" on Bellevue Avenue. (http://liladelman.com/property-details.asp?id=573). It is not for sale currently, but I suppose it would be possible to purchase it if I make an offer in the neighbourhood of $ 15m. Life in Newport is all about Tennis, Yachting, and stylish parties, which I would like quite a lot. In order to "butt in" I would buy an yacht in classic style (See: http://www.w-class.com). Hopefully I would be able to make friends in the yachting circles in Newport who could help me to get into the coop in NY, but also get me into the Baily Beach Club and New York Yacht Club.
Once my housing is sorted out, I would ofcourse require extensive rennovation of the properties and a stylish redecoration of them. The decoration of the houses I would trust in the hands of David Easton (http://www.architecturaldigest.com/architects/100/david_easton/david_easton_profile and his website:http://www.davideastoninc.com/)
In order to get out of NY I would would go for a helicopter, but on a fractional basis (http://www.sikorskyshares.com/) and a jet through NetJets.
I think it would be important the have a purpose with my life, thus I would dedicate considerable time to the charitable trust. I would rent office space in the Rockefeller Center and hire staff to take care of the more tedious parts of grantmaking.
... I am sure I would be very content, maybe even happy, if this ever would materialize, but sadly it's only a dream......
A bigger house (I need more room for my stuff), the Chicago Cubs (I love baseball), stocks (To make more money).
I would by my mom a house and a car b/c that's what she has always wanted and I don't know where I would be in life without her.
A house and a new car...because I need it!
not a whole lot. I would give the majority of it away to helping those in need.
I'd by my KID FREE ISLAND! And I'd start publicizing.
an elephant for myself and a yacht for my boyfriend and some land in a beautiful place for both
I'd love to play Santa Claus and make a difference in some of my friends' lives.
I'd:
-buy a large house in the Hamptons;
-settle the debts of my family and friends and let them live with less stress;
-build up a respectable publishing house of my own that specialized in promoting new authors;
-donate a tidy sum to the Debroah Heart & Lung Center anonymously;
-have the most spectacular home computer money can buy.
I would buy a new laptop computer and a new flat.
I'd go visit someone in the uk. Other stuff is just too numerous to mention.
Businesses and dreams.
One must be semi-frugal to become a billionaire.
id probably just pay off my loans, maybe get a new car and give the rest away. really.
