No one created God. As God told Moses, "I AM." In other words, God can't be defined by any human terms when it comes to His very existence, He just is. God simply exists and no one created Him. For more information about God and Jesus, our Saviour, then I highly suggest reading the Bible; specifically, the creation account in Genesis, and the New Testament. You'll have a much better grasp of who God is and Jesus is by reading and studying than the BIble. I hope this helps to answer your question!

If God just IS well where is he/she/it? you would say he/she/it is all around us but everything with a name must be in a place and God cant have created our Universe without being somewhere else, and what place is that? surely even God must wonder how he/she/it got where he/she/it is. For me the expansive Universe/Multiverse or whatever you want to call it, is too big for even this so called God to grasp, well you wouldnt even say too big becouse there can never be an end to space and if there is an end to it you would come out in the place that space is stored and then it starts again INFINITY!!!!!!!! Taupo...North Island...New Zealand...Southern Hemisphere...Earth...Our Solar System...Our Galaxy...Our Universe...Multiverse...????? Where is Heaven and God suposed to be in that list and remember there is no such place as nowhere.

God created us and no one created God. He was always there. It's hard to understand. Us people think we know it all. We think we are so intelligent, but when we die or make heaven our home or hell we are going to feel stupid if we haven't already realized their is a higher being than us. God is real. If you sincerely seek after him you too would realize he is real. Sometimes people seek after materialistic Gods or Buddah and realize that it's only a doctrine that their following and not anything but that. With God, if you seek after him and give your life to him you will find that he is real and once you've found that he is real then you should believe in his word because he says he and his word are one. Sometimes I don't understand things in the Bible like in revelations it talks of beasts with many heads and creatures like we've never seen before, but I know it will come to pass because i know the lord doesn't lie. He has been by my side during hard times, good times, and confusing times. I'm surely glad though that he has been by my side.

Can you truly comprehend always, or "all time" or a beginning or a god, it's too much for me?
-
God told Moses His Name: "I AM THAT I AM". God has always been. He is eternal. He is the Creator, we are the creatures, His creatures, created for His purpose and plan. Thank you and God bless you!
-
Check OSHO website. He argued, and I am starting to believe that the God concept was made up by man because he wants an answer to an existence that has no answer. If God was around to create the universe, then the universe wasn't created because God has to exist somewhere.
-
PEOPLE, let me explain, GOD created everything God has always existed, he has no son or father or anything, he is alone, he has always been there, it is He who has created everything, everything u cud possibly think of. If u belive in God u will be a great person.

I remember when I had this question and could not sleep for 3 days, it worked for me I hope it works for you. Everything in this universe me you the table the car the trees the earth the moon the stars and the sun all have a begining and an end the answer is they all exist in time, so this means matter exists because of time and must have a begining and an end, just like when you start playing a record it has to finish. The answer is that God lives out of time, he created time for us. I hope this helps
-
i think god was made the same time the big bang was i think they were bith created at the same time lol in my opinion
-
Man. And, even if a God existed prior to man, then god would still have to be invented.
-
No one created Him and no one can. If God is God, then He must be the self-existent One. The Bible tells us that Jehovah God is the beginning and the end. He is the alpha and the omega.
-
The proposed nature of God is one that defies all logic; God has always existed.
-
that is just it. there isnt any God. God is a word that is empty of definition.

simple answer nobody knows and we will never know till we leave this earth the human brain just cant comprahend the secrets of the universe and never will thats why u just gotta have faith everything a test from god do you beleive in him? only the true believers in god will know the answer to that quetion when its time
-
God brought time and matter into existence. He exists outside of time.
-
My father told me that people have gone crazy trying to figure that one out.

If there was anyone who created the creator, that information was not shared with us. So no one can answer this question with a name. The problem with questions like this is we are only able to think with the knowledge which we have as humans and not the knowledge of a higher power. This question would not be asked by a person with faith because they feel that it is not for them to know or the fact that God just is and nothing came before him. It will not magically make them think there is no God just because we as humans can not comprehend beyond our human understanding.
-
No one.

1) Theory 1: we created God. God does not exist. Theory 2: God1 created God. God2 created God1 God3 created God2 ... (we have enough numbers) Theory 3: God evolved, it was not created. 2) "Since God is eternal, past and present, this is a nonsensical question. However, let's suppose you answered that and said there was a super-god who created God. Therefore, God wouldn't be God any more, the super-god would be. Then you could ask the question again and posit a super-super-god. You could keep playing that game until you get tired of it and realize that ultimately you have to end up with a being that is eternal, such as is God. Some say that God is outside of time, or that time has no hold on Him." Source and further information: http://www.rae.org/whocreatedGod.html 3) "At best, the question is derived from the observation of (what are taken to be) ‘cause and effect’ relationships. Every circumstance can be thought of as an ‘effect’ and attributed to an antecedent circumstance or ‘cause’ which, in turn, is attributed to some circumstance antecedent to it, and so on. In the first place, it is obvi ous to anyone who reasons objectively that the notion of ‘cause’ is only an hypothesis, it has no objective exis tence: all that objectively exists is a particular, often (but not always) repeated sequence of circumstances. Secondly, if this hypothesis is applied to existence as a whole, we cannot find a creator of it because each creator must have a creator before that creator, in a never-ending chain. (In fact, the futile notion of a never-ending chain of creators was one of the arguments used by Mus lim theologians to explain the necessity of believing in God.)" Source and further information: http://islambyquestions.net/unity/whoCreated.htm 4) "The "infinite regress" is a fallacy cited frequently in debates about the existence of the creator-god favored by Christians, Muslims, and Jews. The question, "If god created everything, who created god?" references infinite regression, so it is the fallacy of infinite regress which should be addressed here. It's a pretty easy problem to understand. Many religious folk dictate that the world could not exist without a creator, and then cite their god as an all-explanatory first cause. The problem is, any such cause requires a prior cause." We are not given this information and it is not for us to understand. If you believe in God then you have to assume his knowledge is so much higher than ours will ever be that there is no way we will know everything. That alone should be understanding as we are always growing smarter and have nowhere reached our limits. If 500 years ago just the thought of flying in an airplane would have been unheard of and you would have been laughed at for being crazy with such fairy tales. I find it funny how we can say what is and what isn't possible. Maybe when we become smarter understanding God may be easier to accept.

He *wasn't*! [If certain answers frighten one, they should stop asking scary questions, no?!] ;-)

Humans did. :)

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out. (Romans.11:33)
-
it is unlikely that God was created, as it is unlikely that God even exists. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible being living in the sky, who watches everything you do, every minute of the day. And the invisible being has a special list of ten things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire & smoke & burning & torture & anguish, where he will send you to live & suffer & burn & choke & scream & cry for all eternity...but He loves you!
-
depends..I don't believe in god but say there was some "thing" that made all..well all that is/exists in this universe at least...ok so we as 3rd dimensional beings live in a 4th dimensional world yet we can barely perceive its reality yet! But we can theorize what is the 4th, 5th, 6th dimensions and so on. Who's to say our maker is not a universe of beings who have elevated to the 4th dimension or higher? since the fourth dimension is timeless, we cannot understand a reality not constrained by time, yet 4th dimensional beings are timeless, they have always existed in our reality and perception of time and what is infinity and will always exist for all time. Just as we can look into a pond of fish who live in a 2d world (they can see left and right but have no concept of up, we cannot see the 4th dimension because of our 3d existence. If we (us and our universe) began to vibrate at a higher speed, we might enter the 4th dimensiona nd then would be without the constraints of linear time. Then we would understand a different meaning of time and infinity. We would be forever...so god may have been a race of being who evolved and transcended into another higher dimension. Now here's the kicker..the theory of one universe is no longer the accepted theory but instead there is a multiverse. So imagine all the possible universes and all the possibilities of other dimensions and all the possible timelines and infinities...we cannot grasp it with our primitive minds, so we create god to answer this riddle for us when in actuality the possibilities for who and how and when and why we were created and all else was created is infinitely possible....the masses just seemed to, in our primitive evolution, grasp the idea of gods, hopefully with time we evolve to understand much grander concepts.

A young missionary on his first term in Africa is out away from camp having devotions in a quiet clearing, as was his custom. This one particular day, whilst reading his bible, a Lion comes & lays down right beside him, so close that the hot warm smell of its breath is wafting over him. As you would suppose, this makes the missionary exeedingly uneasy. He closes his eyes, praying...but when he opens them he sees another lion approach from the brush, & proceeds to lie down on the other side of him. Convinced that this is a test of his faith, the missionary determines to return to his Bible reading. But as soon as he does, the two lions rise & pounce, devouring him in one fell swoop. And the moral of the story?? Never try & read between the lions.

God created this universe and we all leave on tht, lot many peoples ask why he created ? the answer is its for our wish and desire only. There are 84lakhs species in this earth among them 4lakhs are human beings. Its very difficult to get this human body, and one has to thing about God , because he;s our real father and one should never forget. He had created us because he have become impure and so we birth-rebirth again and again then one final day we will get mukti and we will not suffer in this world.. Thing of a flower how beautiful its . do you think it came into existence by itself , it has created by some one why not God? he;s like us but the only difference is he's powerfull , pure and he has the remembrance of past , know further and has control of everything because he's the creator and destructor. You know one thing all the living beings have sole and that sole is nothing but the minute part of God. If we humans can do research and launch rockets , satellites why cant some one who has the power to create the universe tht you can image its done by God. There;s a purpose for every thing and nothing can exist itsown. for a grass to wave its controlled and occurring to nature it works and its under control by God's instruction. God didn't create the universe. Man created god. As for god always being there, obviously, you have information which you haven't shared with the rest of the world

I know following is not the exact answer to your question, but try to think this way that God is not created. It is like an ocean and a You are one drop in it.
-
Has time always been there? How could time always exist? Was it created, did it evolve, did it spontaneously generate? Does it move linearly or does it bend? Can it move in reverse? To understand how God could always have been, we would first need to fully understand time -- but, we don't. All we know truly know about time is that we don't fully understand it. The technology that enables you to ask this question seemed absolutely impossible to even conceive 2-3 generations ago. Just because we can't explain something does not make it impossible or untrue.

No one. I wonder why most christians say everything needs a creator. Kinda weird.
-
God does not exist. Matter has always existed. I addressed this recently in my post "Occam's Chainsaw" http://www.curefaith.com/2009/05/occams-chainsaw.html
-
Well,I agree with the other people who said that God was always here. I know that it can be kind of hard to imagine, but God was always here.
-
NO one created God; He was always there. Hard to imagine, even for Christians - hard to wrap your mind around. But it's true, and we have to just accept it even if we don't fully understand it.
-
God is a human creation, one of many, a mythical concept developed to make sense of the world a long time ago. When people say that god is beyond explanation and can't be defined in human terms they are just taking the easy way out. If what they say is true then how do we have a name for it? They have a book that defines god. It's just that the book is so full of contradictions and inaccuracies it falls apart in the light of reasonable questioning. So people don't. That's why faith is blind.
-
Science has exactly the same problem. Where did that first particle in the Big Bang come from? What kicked off that first reaction in the Big Bang? Sorry, but you aren't going to get an answer that way. Both science and creationism have exactly the same problem there. Neither can be proven. Both have to be taken on faith. You are right back where you started. You don't have to turn your brain off to believe in God, although many atheists will tell you that. I studied science in college. I started off majoring in Biology. I never saw anything that proved God didn't exist. I don't believe that science and God are incompatible. All science is doing is poking around in God's toolbox.

Read Thomas Aquinas. Specifically, the Quinquae Viae as presented in his Summa Theologica. Too much for you? Okay, here's a summary: 1) The Argument of the Unmoved Mover The argument of the unmoved mover, or ex motu, tries to explain that God must be the cause of motion in the universe. It is therefore a form of the cosmological argument. It goes thus: a-Some things are moved. b-Everything that is moving is moved by a mover. c-An infinite regress of movers is impossible. d-Therefore, there is an unmoved mover from whom all motion proceeds. e-This mover is what we call God. 2) The Argument of the First Cause The argument of the first cause (ex causa), tries, unlike the argument of the Unmoved Mover, to prove that God must have been the cause, or the creator of the universe. It is therefore a form of the cosmological argument. It goes thus : a-Some things are caused. b-Everything that is caused is caused by something else. c-An infinite regress of causation is impossible. d-Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause of all that is caused. e-This causer is what we call God. 3) The Argument from Contingency The argument from contingency (ex contingentia): a-Many things in the universe may either exist or not exist. Such things are called contingent beings. b-It is impossible for everything in the universe to be contingent, for then there would be a time when nothing existed, and so nothing would exist now, since there would be nothing to bring anything into existence, which is clearly false. c-Therefore, there must be a necessary being whose existence is not contingent on any other being or beings. d-This being is whom we call God. 4) The Argument from Degree The argument from degree or gradation (ex gradu). It is heavily based upon the teachings of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato. It goes thus : a-Varying perfections of varying degrees may be found throughout the universe. b-These degrees assume the existence of an ultimate standard of perfection. c-Therefore perfection must have a pinnacle. d-This pinnacle is whom we call God. 5) The Teleological Argument The teleological argument or argument of "design" (ex fine), which claims that everything in the Universe has a purpose, which must have been caused by God : a-All natural bodies in the world act towards ends. b-These objects are in themselves unintelligent. c-Acting towards an end is characteristic of intelligence. d-Therefore, there exists an intelligent being that guides all natural bodies towards their ends. e-This being is whom we call God.

God is a spirit, which we define as a mind without any physical components. We don't understand anything about spirits, how they can exist, where they can come from et cetera. We have no reason to believe that spirits need to be created. Perhaps if we could go into the spirit world, we would find that time, space, and causality mean nothing to spirits. The most coherent information about spirits is the Bible, and the Bible tells us that God created everything. This includes all matter, all space, and all time. You probably think that before God began creating, there was just a big, black, cold and empty universe with nothing in it. But both Einstein and Augustine agree that before creation began there wasn't even nothing, and there was no time for that "nothing" to exist in. The Bible says that the spirit called God willed our universe into existence, and those who don't believe that say it just happened by accident, without reason, cause, or explanation. If you believe the first alternative, then you are important and have meaning, and right and wrong objectively exist. If you believe the second alternative, you are just a chemical accident, you will be active for about 80 years and then you will stop existing, nothing matters except to you, and there is no right or wrong--just your opinions and preferences. You have no meaning except to yourself.
-
Exactly and then after that answer here's another question Who created whatever created the god? You can keep going on and never get to the end. But maybe there is no god. It's up to whatever anyone wants to believe. +5
-
god is not a who. god was given a gender by us because at the time the bible was written, no one could comprehend things that didn't have distinction, in particular male and female, because everything known about life and the world supported the thought that everything has a defined role. most theologists don't see god as man or woman, or a human-like being. for spiritualists god is a force, an energy, and that we were 'created in His image' means only that we are beings of energy too, not that we literally look and function the way god does. which makes a kind of sense, considering the human body is full of electricity and always moving, working, growing, and changing. so, nothing 'created' god. god is not a 'person'. god just is. like nothing 'created' air, or space, or time. it simply exists, and works, and moves, and evolves.

My Aunt Gertrude, in her kitchen. She won't give up the secret recipe but she did say that it involved flour, milk, sugar and chocolate chips
-
You'll find very quickly that believers will argue that matter or energy could not have always existed and must have had a creator but will, at the same time, tell you that God has always existed and needed no creator. It's funny how they can twist things around to rationalize something isn't it?
-
That's the idea. God is the source of all.
-
We do not know what created the universe. Man created god as a way to explain what they didn't know around them, they were very primitive then and didn't have the knowledge we have now. This is why more people are turning to science and aren't so gullible and naive to believe that there's an invisible bearded man up in the sky controlling us.

God created the universe. At the same time, the universe created God. God = the universe, therefore the universe created itself.

This guy, Fred. He lives just down the street. He created God. Just ask him... he'll tell you. Hope this helps.

I do not believe god did create the universe For me it is much simpler that some unknown event leads to the manifestation of a huge amount of energy, This energy is then releases in the event we call the big bang. Adding god to the mix simple answers an unknown cause, with an even more unknown and unexplainable one.

The elder gods created him

God didn't create the universe mankind invented God to explain what they couldn't understand. Also there s a line in the middle called average most of the worlds population is below that line and only 25% have a I Q over 100 the masses are dumb and need a Shepard to follow not to say some smart people have faith in a God but that's what they feel to be true. most people are born into a religion and follow it because of fear of what if I don't will I be dammed?

Anyone/anything that can be CREATED can not be called 'GOD'. GOD is the ONE who CREATE but HE has NO creator.

maybe there was a god's mom there..

No one. The universe is a space-TIME continuum. There was no 'before' for anyone to do any creating. This question merely demonstrates the limits of the typical godless human mind.

God always was, is, and always will be. He is the great "I am!" He always existed, and always will. With our limited knowledge, we can never understand the attributes of Almighty God.

Man made God, he is the 100% creation of man, invented by man, therefore he couldn't possibly have created the universe, no more than Gandalf had a hand in it's creation.

We don`t know do we?But do we really understand why a radio works?I know there is a logical explaination for it but do we Really understand it?Yet it is so much more simple than God.If no one can explain where he came from, does that prove he does not exist?...I don`t think so.There are alot of know facts that can not always be proven.Alot of science is only theory that can`t yet be proven.

I think there is a whole other world we have yet to know about. We are taught that He is the one and only god. Lately it's been making me wonder if we are taught that for a reason. Like if . . . someday we will have to fight the devil's army so we are being taught now to follow God. The whole . . . rooster crow thing and denying a relationship with Jesus . . . it makes me wonder if we're being taught to follow God now so that we don't deny our love for Him later on in some other lifetime. This is not to be thought lightly . . . a lot of thought has gone into this as well as a death experience so I'm on a pretty deep level here. Laugh if you must but it makes sense. None of us really know for sure of anything, though :)
-
The eternal question that is worth personal pondering.
-
The concept of an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent being is beyond the limited comprehension of our limited minds. We LIVE in a dimension ruled by the linear progression of time. God lives outside of time. He really was, is, and will be, because he exists outside the effects of our linear timeline.
-
*sigh* I knew you'd ask this someday.... Weeeeeeeeeellll..... When a mummy god and a daddy god love each other very much... sometimes they decide to.... Aww screw it. The stork brought him, okay?
-
God has always Been, Is, and Always will be. No one created God, He created Man
-
This question is the reason I have a problem with creationism, or intellegent design. If human beings are so complex that the only reasonable solution to their existence is that they were designed by a supreme being (God), then the same concept would apply to the creator. Unless the creator us simpler than humans, which would indicated he is not superior, hence not supreme.
-
this question cannot be answered.
-
If you were told, you couldn't comprehend it. None of us can. Humans understand only 5% of the known features of the universe, have no idea what precipitated the big bang and caused it to organize instantly, and can't even figure out how the most basic functions do what they do.
-
Any origin of the universe has the same problem you are asking, but no solution. God does. God created time. He created everything else with a beginning. We know the world with that state, something becomes grows and then dies. We measure this cycle using time. God exist in a realm where Time is not a factor. We can't grasp it because we aren't meant to. Its a theology so beyond our realm of understanding, we have to be God to understand it (or possibly have him give this knowledge to us). The best idea I have is that He is like Doctor Manhattan in Watchmen. He sees both yesterday today and tomorrow, he everywhere. He is outside time looking in from a window. Where he is, is the same moment always. We won't truly understand it until we are there. Or you know the answer could be nothing was here, then one day something was there which is weird but if we ignore this is little detail then we can move onto that something exploding, and then forming matter, and then forming planets, and then forming animals and trees and water, and then forming people who have complex thoughts and emotions that came from nowhere really.
