Was it OK for Pete Townsend to "research" child porn on the internet in order that he might write a song or whatever about it?

    Well, from what I've read, no evidence was found on his computer of any child pornography. He has also worked for years helping and donating to many children's charities and causes. I personally think the whole thing was a misunderstanding, or a mistake on his part. You can read the details here:

    research is research ...and if you are going to learn the facts about anything ...you do research, now I don't think the cops found anything else or other kiddy porn or could link him to anything else ...so yes he had a legit excuse but the cops being the cops made a mountain out of a mole hill all because he was famous ...instead of doing there job of shutting down these web sites ...and have they ...NO!!

    It certainly seemed like a strange excuse. If he was really doing this research 'out of concern' for the children, he should've notified authorities beforehand. I would be too sickened by the imagery and abuse to even 'research' that area, particularly not for personal research. That is something that only legitimate law enforcement or child advocacy agencies need research.
