  • the Bible, especially Proverbs, tells of being drunk a "foolish" thing. drinking is not a sin, but not being in your right state of mind will cause you to do "foolish" things, and it is hard enough for a "sober" person to do right ...this is why an alcoholic chances of ever lasting life are slim.. so, alcohol, drugs, marijuana, anything "mind altering" is wrong. it tends to make us fools.!!! to God being legal is not the point, or socially acceptable. being drunk or not in a sober mind is the POINT. i used to feel the same as you...Barbara
  • in moderation it's prob alright.
  • ok im going to quote genises here 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day. hmm i think dope has seeds doesnt it? YES IT DOES OMG!!!!! so lets see god created dope, and was happy with it... ok i beleive 1+1=2
  • It was made a sin by one of the popes who condemned any mind-altering substances other than the sacramental wine.
  • • Marijuana • Without even considering whether marijuana is unhealthy or not, using illegal drugs is immoral because they are illegal. Christians reside in their own nations, but as resident aliens. They participate in all things as citizens and endure all things as foreigners. They obey the established laws and their way of life surpasses the laws. The citizen is obliged in conscience not to follow the directives of civil authorities when they are contrary to the demands of the moral order, to the fundamental rights of persons or the teachings of the Gospel. We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29) Using illegal drugs for recreational purposes is breaking a law that is not contrary to the demands of the moral order, to the fundamental rights of persons nor the teachings of the Gospel, and is therefore immoral. For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 2240-2242: http://www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/pt3sect2chpt2.htm#2240 • Medical Marijuana • To the best of my knowledge the Church has not made a position known on the use of medical marijuana. The scientific, legal, and philosophical debate is still out on medical marijuana as is shown in the attached documents. http://catholiceducation.org/articles/civilization/cc0092.html http://www.catholic.org/featured/headline.php?ID=2261 With love in Christ.
  • I will tell you about a miracle that happened to me. One night I was smoking weed and having a couple of beers with my friends. It was me and two friends all night. My friends left and I locked all of the doors to my house. I even watched them leave. I am 100% sure that I was home alone at that point. I decided to go to bed once I sobered up. I went upstairs and realized that I was missing one of two weed containers. Oh shoot, I thought, where could it be? I searched the whole house and found nothing. I searched my bed 3 times, pulling the sheets and blankets off of my bed, shaking them to see if the container was on my bed. Nothing was found. I decided to go to sleep. The next morning I woke up and found the missing weed container sitting on top of my sheets, as if someone had come into my room at night, and set it on top of my sheet. It was a true miracle!! I was watching my parents house while they were away, I had watched my friends walk out of my front door as I locked up all of the entrances, and I woke up finding the missing container sitting on top of the sheets that I had pulled off of my bed and shook 3 times the night before, before putting those same sheets on top of me to keep warm. It was an honest miracle. So you who believe in God, I also believed that it was God. I don't believe in God anymore, but that doesn't matter because you do! There is your answer, God does not consider smoking weed a sin that will keep you from heaven. Bless you. Also alcohol is much more harmful than smoking weed. Also smoking weed is not sorcery. Sorcery can be practiced sober or under the influence, but being under the influence does mean practicing sorcery, although some people may find their powers increase under certain substances.
