  • The infomercial wasn't too convincing
  • We're wondering the same thing. Am Cdn so note additional shipping costs and taxes. Plus just hate the hidden stuff - nothing in the TV ad, and only at the bottom of the FAQs they tell you it includes 2mths supplements that are free for 1mth, and so unless you return the machine, they'll be after you to pay more for the other month's supplements, and even better, you can expect automatic shipments of more supplements with bills for them ever after - but no costs indicated anywhere!!
  • I bought mine about 4 months ago, during a 5am play of their infomercial. Skeptical, but aware of the 30 day guarantee, I tried it out. When I remember to use it once a day, at the end of the week, I hardly need all the pain killers I usually need. ...Just say "no" to those vitamins, though. A basic multi of Zinc, Omegas, Bs, and most importantly - Magnesium, will be more sufficient...or just eat more fish/green veggies. :) Or you could pay $25 a month for their water pills. :P
  • I have not tried the machine but here are some exercises and home remedies which might be help you ease the pain. http://health.top54u.com/post/Exercises-for-Back-Pain.aspx http://health.top54u.com/post/Home-Remedies-for-BACK-PAIN.aspx
  • What I was wondering is if this works wouldn't your med. insurance cover the cost? Also wouldn't my doctor recommend it? Wouldn't there be brochures at the office? In magazines? Notice to that the ad doesn't say whether any of these people were medically diagnosed with a specific injury or orthopedic condition. Seems to me the people would say "my xrays showed I had a bulged/herniated/ruptured disc and back to life gave me relief etc. etc.". Check with your doctor first.
  • Don't do it - I purchased this machine 40 days ago. It arrived 36 days ago. Today I called to tell them not only did it not make my back better is has caused a problem with my knees. Back2life quite honestly doesn't care to refund my money b/c I didn't call by the 30th day to ask for an authorization to return their machine. I feel like a moron for having a)fallen for one of these infomercial things b)not read the ultra fine print! But they have a captive audience - what else do you do when your back hurts. Don't get sucked in.
  • No, but here is a free bit of information which if applied will allow you to fix most anything. The major problems with it are the time it takes to learn and the difficulty of dealing with old injuries. Once you know it fresh injuries can be healed super fast, but old injuries due to compensations and incorrect healing are a major hassle.
  • I hate to disagree but I honestly feel quite duped. I checked my receipt and it makes no mention of their return policy but they do spend quite a bit of time promoting the 100% satisfaction guarantee on the infomercial. My plan is to post this item on Craigslist for free as you mention. If nothing else I would like to spare some other unsuspecting person with back pain the cost and annoyance of dealing with this group. Clearly they don't have any interest in having return customers. It would have been one thing to have found the machine didn't work for me - and to have returned the machine for a refund less S&H. But to have them invoke this insidious return policy is just offensive. The goal is simple - get machines that do not work out in the marketplace and just hope only 1/2 the customers figure it out before the 30days are up. I have to imagine there are other like me who did not read the fine print and realize they had to call for a return authorization. Steer clear of back2life and or backinfive promotions.
  • NO this machine does not work and this company is a fraud.
  • I got the net link from my sister and imediatly check for a Forum like this and I don't think I will be ordering, in saying that my Sister bout me a Hanging table, not the right name for it but basicly you lay on this table, it's on a pivot and are able to swing upside down and end up hanging straight, this does work, you body weight is pulling your spine straight and a MASSIVE INSTANT relief, you can also get hanging boots but a bit ackward to get them up and hooked onto a bar,
  • I am so happy to see people are finally catching on and we are getting the word out to folks to steer clear of back2life. Honestly, I would probably even lump in the company backin5 that promotes this joke of a machine. This machine does not work. The company does not intend to honor its guarantee under any circumstances.
  • Check out this article reviewing the Back2Life: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1230530/back2life_machine_product_review.html?cat=5
  • They are not an ethical company. I ordered my machine as the 5 easy payments of $39.95 per month and they charged my credit card the full amount $229.99 inc. s&h of $29.99. On top of that, when I got the product after I assembled and turned it on it didn't work. So I called and they said they would be sending a Fedex shipper for it. A week later it still did not arrive so I called them again and they said it hadn't been mailed. I told them I did not want the product any- more and to credit my account the full amount, that they didn't have the authorization for in the first place, and they told me I would have to pay for s&h. The machine that was beening sent back didn't work in the first place, so why should I have to pay for the s&h of it??? Terrible experience. I think what they are doing is illegal, especially charging the full amount when you you agree to the payment plan. Where's the internet police.(lol)
  • I bought it, received it a week ago, have been using it morning and night, like it says, follow the instructions. It works for me, I have minimal pain now and I am sure after more use I will have no pain, when before I started using it I had pain all the time.
  • I have heard mixed reviews. Some say it worked well and some did not like it at all. It is also better to buy it online if you do not want to be charged extra fees. It looks relaxing on the commercial if it does anything. Im sure it cannot cure everyone's back problems. http://tvproducts4sale.com/Personal-Care/Back2Life
  • It looks like it would be comfortable but Im sure it cannot solve everyone's back problems. Be sure to order it online instead of on the phone. Here is a review: http://ezinearticles.com/?Back-2-Life-Machine-Review&id=1821356
  • I'm surprised anyone actually entertains the thought that any product on an infomercial might actually work. If it remotely worked, it wouldn't be on an infomercial. Those who claim it works are either paid for by the company, or are experiencing the placebo effect, since they don't wish to be fools who have parted with hundereds of dollars.
  • Lay in the floor, put you legs in a rocking chair and have someone gently rock it for 12 minutes.
  • I ordered Back2Life after watching the infomercial, I had very high expectation for it. I have a herniated disk in my low lumbar area. I used the Back2Life for about 5 days, I wanted to give it a good chance to work. After each use my back was in more pain and it was harder to walk afterwards. When I called customer service so I could send it back I felt like I was put under pressure to keep it even though it did not work. Also, it was like the customer service rep could not believe it did not or could not work.
  • Ok people - this machine is genius. First of all there is no exercise that you could make to simulate the movements that this machine does. How would you simulate in the exercise the feeling of somebody pulling your legs out of your body ? There is no way. This machine gently massages your lower back by making it flex like a wave for 12 minutes. After the massage you will feel warm feeling in the lower back and it will be really flexible like somebody just put fresh lubricant into my spine and I can turn around without any pain. Also, I am not sure if nobody wrote about it but the whole feeling is amazing during the exercise. Its like you are discovering the mussels you never thought you had. And since they are near the spine it actually tingles a little bit during the massage but very good tingling almost on the border with pleasure. When I went to their web site I also ordered the extra ankle weights and I think they keep your feet down and allow you for greater stretching ability during the massage. I ordered 2 1 for me one for my older parents since you get 30% of on the second unit. Just my 2 cents and I was not hired by these guys to write this I just really like it and I hope it will help u too at least it will be a fun massage for your back!
  • I bought the back2life, and after one treatment I felt taller. I have 3 ruptured discs in my back and a damaged nerve which limits me to what I do. I cannot stand for long (2 minutes) or walk far (less than a block) without shear pain and cramping in my back. Now that I am using the machine I am able to stand and do my dishes and I sleep a lot better. For me it has been a miracle machine. I would recommend it to anyone who has a bad back. I will say though I started out with 24 minutes in the morning and 24 minutes at night. And that is what I continue to do. I can even walk up the steps without holding on now (that was a big chore for me before). I would say try it and if you don't like it send it back, it is definitely worth a try to get some major pain relief.
  • There online site/customer service is very shady. I just "bought" 2 even though I never clicked "buy". I called immediately after being online and was told it takes a day for them to see my records. I called the next day and both were shipped. They couldnt view my records the day before to rectify the situation but they miraculously sent it all out in 12 hours. Other issues I could explain but heed my advice-ORDER BY PHONE OR BUY ONE FROM A DIFFERENT SITE. This company is shady.
  • WEll I have to say that was no help at all! Some seem to love it and other claimed to be totally duped. The quacker sounds like he has shares in the business. I think I'll stick with my never buy anything from an infomercial" policy. Wish I could be rid of this incessant back pain though!
  • DO NOT BUY from them. They are a scam outfit. They never answer there customer service lines and they don't respond to email. We have tried to get as RMA# and we stayed on the phone the whole day until they closed and no one answered. The ordering line answere but they say they are not connected with the company..just phone answer people. If you google "reviews back2life " you will see how many people are being ripped off. BBB is involved...because they don't issue credits to charge cards and you can't get thru to them. The safest thing to do is stop you charge card and and open new one and explain the situation to the credit card company.
  • LOOK OUT IF YOU HAVE A SHORT LIMB! Some of us (like me) have a leg-length discrepancy. It can be measured by a "metered" film pelvic x-ray, with your standing on bare feet with your back against the film. Then, you look at the height of each femoral head. If you have a difference of more than 1/2", you are "carrying" your own chuckhole with you. It's not good for your back or the knee joint on the long side. It's also possible to have a chiropractor or a podiatrist measure your leg length from the ASIS to the medial malleolus by a tape measure, although the x-ray is more accurate. A solution to this is to wear an orthotic on the short side only (you should do this ONLY if you have a documented discrepancy). Patients with foot and knee problems are expecting too much if they want to have a "single machine" help their back pain. If you pronate you need orthotics. You can try store-purchased arch supports first. If they don't help, see a podiatrist and "pay for" the real ones. Before you buy this machine, I'd recommend what several others have here: Try the excercies of gently swinging your pelvis around in circles, with your legs upon a a chair, while you lie on the floor. (Be sure to have a pillow under your head). That's much cheaper than the machine, and may help almost as much. Don't expect any machine to supply all of your back-pain needs. You need to walk, do stretching exercises and be active. sanjosemike
