No it will never come to that. But if they had computers in certain parts of Africa i wonder if the response would be the same. They are not on the horizon of a food shortage, they have been there for years.

I really doubt it. Long before we get to that point, it's likely that less draconian measures would be invoked... such as fines for having more than one child, or even "childbearing credits" traded like we trade smokestack emission credits now. Killing fully-viable humans as a way to control population would indicate a pretty serious lack of imagination :)

sad thing is we throw away here in america more uneaten food per pound than what Africa gets to eat in a year. We def can produce enough food for the world, theres just not enough money to do so.

Imagine the chaos that would cause? All the government would have to do is suggest it or announce it, and it would unfold on its own I'm pretty sure. I don't think that's ever going to happen though. I'm of the mind that the Earth takes care of that itself, through very Darwinism like means. Not trying to be mean or offensive, I know people frown on that a lot, but it's my genuine belief. It just makes sense to me, the principles and values Hitler was talking about don't come with me. Our minds and methods of reasoning are already like, preset with such mentalities, hence war, economic overdose and the consequences it has like starving countries. I think it's a subconscious mechanism that uses and always HAS used pruning as its desired effect. As cruel as we are, before the government kills their own people, as was suggested before, means of stopping overpopulation like they have in China would be employed, or worse, they would annihilate people from other countries first. The reason governments exist is to reign and keep order, not fight off angry mobs and revolutions, even if that happens quite often. It sounds really sad and horrible though, but the point is, for that to be real and brought forth by our own willing hand, it would have to be a completely critical state like you see in movies. :(
