How will you know if someone is really in it for the long haul. My boyfriend is great and tells me I'm the greatest girlfriend ever and that we are going to be together forever, but when I say love he says he "cares deeply and enjoys me"...what's up?

I don't say the L word to just anyone. I know people who say it to everyone, and to me it losses it's meaning when you do that. I have said "I Love You" to one person. I told it to one girl that I really truly deeply loved. So if he is like me, you doesn't just use that word lightly. Once you say it, it is out of the bag and you can't put it back in, so it takes a while to get the point to say it that first time. I'm sure that is the case with him, you just doesn't say it lightly. But then I have a friend that doesn't have a romantic bone in his body so he doesn't say it a lot to his wife, just because he just isn't romantic.

see how long it will last u can tell if someone is in love with u by action sometimes males dont share there emotions. just give it sometime.

...you will know they are in it for the long haul when they call you their..."Lover, Friend, and soulmate"...and they also tell you "I want to be with you forever"...those are the engagement statements... if he cares deeply and enjoys you...maybe he can learn to love you...but usually "true love" is almost instant....but maybe you just need to talk to him. Ask him where he sees the relationship heading...and just stick with it...but dont rush him, if you do thats a good way to either scare...or put pressure on....and neither of those end up good. So just be patient, all will play out, and i wish ya good luck on it!...
