Is it true that you can't get a mahogany aquarium?

Yes, true. You can get a stand made from mahogany. You can get some mahogany and make a fish tank yourself, or pay someone to make one for you, but you can't get one that's already made. You want your fish to see what's going on outside the tank, right? Answers101, why would you want a tank made from wood, anyway? (I assume you mean the aquarium, not the stand.) Don't you think problems will arise when you can't readily see what's going on inside the tank? I do. And read DARRYL61's comments on mahogany. The guy on the internet who said mahogany would leak is probably right. If nothing else, it would absorb water to the point of becoming warped, which would likely result in leakage. Of course, you may not realize the water's down because you can't see much. Good luck - to you, and especially to your fish, lol.
