  • Drive down to Ohio and high five me :)
  • How about Cape Cod? You could go to Woods Hole and meander around..visit Martha's Vineyard..have fun! :)
  • I suppose I'm late for this, but for next time... Newport, RI. It's beautiful! New Hampshireor Vermont... Just head up to the mountains! And I'll steal Rosie's idea of Cape Cod... Summer's coming, and you can camp on Sandy Neck (a beach, on the Sandwich, Barnstable town line). I might run into you there! If you wanted something more serene, the lower Cape (like Truro, Wellfleet) has some scenic areas with waterfront lodging.
  • If you're looking to go rural, go north. Take a backroads tour of Vermont. The Green Mountains are lovely, especially in the Rutland Gaps area. That would be about 3 hours or so for you. Or, if you want a little more civilization you could always head in the opposite direction and hit Portland, Maine. It's an unexpected mecca of culinary delights. Plus, even in the off-season the ocean's always nice. You've got a lot of options from your destination. If you want a little more help planning, let me know - you're talking to a seasoned traveler of back roads and byways in New England. :-)
  • RidinHy Dude Ranch Warrensburg NY. It's 2 and Half hour drive from you. There's Horseback riding, Hiking, indoor pool and jacuzzi, all meals included in price, bar and live music. It's heaven, located in the Adirondacks, SOOO Beautiful. It would be $210 a person for the weekend for lodging, meals and horseback riding. It's the better than Disney!!
  • Montreal, which I have heard is a beautiful city with excellent live entertainment. You're looking at a two hour drive into another place the likes of which you won't find anywhere else. It's the simplest form of international travel you can have, and is much safer than a weekend in Mexico.
