Law enforcement claims that if we allow it to be grown for industrial and agricultural uses then we would be sending the wrong message to the kids.. Sad thing you got downrated, just goes to show the confusion and ignorance people have gained from all the propaganda.

Because of the stupid laws against it.

I bumped you up, as much as I could. I'm sorry you were downrated. It IS a society stigma. What kills me is the same government that disallows hemp's cultivation in the United States has NO problem taking taxes from imported hemp products! If I wanted to, I could dress in hemp, use hemp cosmetics and sunblock, wash my hair with hemp-oil based shampoo... as long as the hemp comes from SOMEWHERE ELSE. I'm gobsmacked myself... Hemp has more uses even than SOY! You can eat it, make paper of it, clothe and bathe yourself with it... and it grows ANYWHERE, really fast, and cheaply. There is nothing but benefit... except for the government, which wouldn't make its absurd import tax on the products.

More hemp would be grown if it was economically feasible. It is legal to grow Hemp in the united states with special license from the DEA.
