I would get a decent money belt. Big cities in Europe are like cities anywhere else, so beware of pickpockets! To hide your wealth you could keep jewelery and designer clothes to a minimum. Europe is safe though, you shouldn't be worried.

A big give away to your finances is that you are traveling first class. If you don't want people to suspect your wealth, try traveling closer to the rear of the plane.

I was really afraid of what would happen when I was travelling to Europe. I left all my jewelry at home and I bought a money belt. Knock on wood but everything was good. People were wearing their jewelry. I got tired of wearing my money belt. I ended up burying my money in a second bag in a tote I was carrying. I made sure to not keep money in my pockets. When I was walking, I tried to keep my bag close to me and more to the front. I tried to be very careful on public transportation. No one was even interested in me on the trains. There were many, many travelers.

Just watch out for Gypsies(sp?) my dad had a lady actually throw a baby at him for money in italy.
