  • As far as I've heard, no. Of course all the people that could answer this are...dead... From near-death experience accounts, the brain calls up memories from your entire life and plays them out extremely quickly, almost like a summary at the end of a video game. These usually include memories of people you only saw when you were a toddler and never remembered, loved ones, etc. Of course any Christian will dispell my answer and say that yes, you do see god. However I'm aethiest so believe what you want. Hope this helps, Good Luck
  • My husband had a near death experience, he was violently calling out to the doctors to turn off that bright light as he held is hands over his eyes.... there were no lights directly on him at the time... Whether or not God is at the other end?? well, those people are dead, and I'm sure my husband could tell you if he wasn't there now. There are 5 stages of death Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance.
  • Of course no one can really know because they are all dead. However, several accounts of people who have had near death experiences have experienced a bright light like in tjatherton's story. I know from experience that when you pass out or faint that you see a white light that fills up your vision before you become unconscious. Perhaps that is what is happening in near death experiences.
  • The answer to what happens to the dead is answered by the Bible. Genesis 3;19, Isaiah 26;14 Psalms 146;4 Ecclesiastes 9; 5,6,10 All these scriptures agree. No action or anything in the grave.
  • All I know from reading tons of books and doing research, children of all ages and from all over the world that have had near death experiences, seem to have the same answer. They dont have a life of reflection, only "Innocence". But they see our Father standing before them and they dont want to return back to their mothers or fathers. Not one child has ever experieced a near death experienced and asked to come back. So, in short, out of the mouth of babes, we will see the truth.
  • I have always been under the impression that your loved ones who have passed away are waiting for you in the light. But I dont want to confirm that just yet.
  • well people say and believe different things no one but the dead would be able to answer that it could be god it could be chemicals released from the brain when you die or almost die it could be heavens gates ect. we wont know for a fact till we die but then only we and the dead would truly know so really no living person will ever know the truth abot the white light it could be our minds flashing back to moments before we were born or a lantern carried by death that will take your soul to heaven or hell or it could be you being born again in another dimension we wont ever know till armagedon (mass exctinction, apocalypse, whatever you want to call it)
  • I've had a few near death experiences, and I've seen the "bright light". I'm an athiest and I think there is a physical answer. As my brain and vision starts shutting down, I get tunnel vision, and the bit of light my brain can process becomes very strong. I also have noticed that sounds and voices around me become very distorted. I feel, based on my experiences, that the concept of the "bright light at the end of the tunnel" concept is the brain's last grasp at focusing on what is happening.
  • Even as a Christian, I tend to think that these "tunnel experiences" are part of the dying process and not a revelation of any sort. People from all over the world, who have reported them, have tended to lean towards their own religious/cultural experiences when explaining them to others after reviving. For myself, I do not have to worry about who will be at the other end of a tunnel. My God and Father has said that He will be there on the other side, becuase He has taken me into His family, through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ. I trust the Word of God, not someone's near-death experience.
  • you do see a bright light, its like the sun but when you look into it, it feels warm and lovely and you feel loved. someone that was in your family that died will come thru that light and will come to you and ask you to come in the light with her/him. if you go into the light then you will have peace but your spirit is still alive, it still roams around places, but if you decide not to go into the light then you feel stress and ager until you finsihed what you need to finish. when you die you need to finish off what you need to finish off .. for exmaple--you want to no y this person killed u so u go to this person and ask them in there dreams (ghosts go into your dreams!!)so you find out why they killed you, after you have found out everything, you then see a light and its your decisionn to go into it! thats all i no from now on. i can talk to ghosts so this is how i no this, i dont no much else sorry, hope ive helped!
  • My mom has had a stroke and is in hospital at the moment. She is 82 and personally I do not think she is going to make it. Although she does not acknowledge our presence by her some of the time she is with us. On other occassions she will get this glassy look in her eyes, look upward and start scolding somebody far away telling them to leave her alone. at this time she is gripping with one hand the bed rail so tight you cannot prise her fingers from it. Her facial expression shows she is listening and watching the movement of whoever she is seeing and as they draw nearer she becomes terribly agitated and upset. What do you guys think is it?
  • Well, the last time I died, I did see a....
  • I have a different believe, i believe when every body is dying, he/she will see Angels of death, and he/she will see also where they going to end up (Heaven or Hell) it depands what you did in this world, coz God didn't creat us for joke, God created us to test and the real life will be in hereafter.. so every body have to earn to get Allah's(God's) mercy and forgiveness. In this world we have different believs,, so u have the responsibility to know the right religion, BTW: am muslim thanks to Allah (God almighty).
