  • I take extremely good care of my teeth, had a cavity in my back molar and after having it filled went for my check up about 6 months later to discover the tooth was dead (had gone black) I had no pain in the tooth prior to and always floss & brush... so it can happen to anyone. I ended up having to have the tooth pulled as it couldn't be saved but if it have been salvagable (root canal) it would have cost a fair amount, close to a thousand dollars. The largest reason why people don't take care of their eeth is cost, here in Canada if you don't have a dental plan you are paying out of pocket (the same goes for many other places as well) and it can become quite costly.
