  • "Preparation The university Medical and Dental Schools participating in UKCAT do not endorse any commercially-available preparation course for the UKCAT. Preparation is not necessary, desirable or advantageous. The test is designed to be a test of aptitude rather than academic achievement, therefore the test does not draw on any particular body of knowledge or curriculum that a candidate can learn in advance. However, candidates should practise answering the types of questions that will be presented in the UKCAT, to familiarise themselves with the question styles, multiple-choice format and varying requirements of each subtest. Candidates should also familiarise themselves with the onscreen test format so that they know how to move the mouse, answer questions and move through the test. Practice questions To help you prepare for the UK Clinical Aptitude Test, two practice tests are provided below. The long version of the practice test includes all the questions from the shorter version plus additional items. Please note that these practice questions do not generate marks. If you want to know how well you did in the practice test, keep a paper note of your answers. When you are finished you can check your answers against the answer key provided as a download below. Please note that in the real test you will have one minute to read the instruction screen for each section. After you have begun each section you will not be able to go back and review the instructions. The actual test consists of the following four sections: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, abstract reasoning and decision analysis. When you take the actual test, each section will consist of approximately 40 questions to be completed in roughly 20 minutes (please click here to see exact times and number of questions for each section). In the shorter practice tests below, however, you will have 20 minutes to complete from 3 to 4 questions per section. In the longer version of the practice test you will be presented with 10-15 questions per section. If you are downloading the longer version of the test, please be advised that broadband is preferable." sources: http://www.ukcat.ac.uk/home/preparation/practice-questions/ http://www.ukcat.ac.uk/home/preparation/ht/tutorials/ http://www.pearsonvue.co.uk/home/services/test-delivery/test-centre-tour/ Good luck!
