Question

Help answer this question below.

How do you remove blood stains from delicate panties? The panties are of different colors, so bleach is not an option. It will spot the colors. Would love to get the stains out rather than throw out and buy new panties. Thanks!

If you can catch it right away use COLD water and soap. Don't use hot or it will set it in.

That question. A good one, but either peeps are to afraid to ask, or they can't find nothing that works.
Blood stains can be easy or tough in some cases. (I am a guy who does the laundry chores.) When my hunny had it start and asks my advice, I try the easiest first, being hydrogen peroxide. it usually but not always works. pretreating in a good detergent, Like Wisk free/clear works too. I heard and tried a method once, where a friend of mine heard she should use shave cream. we both tried it, different brands, and got nothing. I have also noticed that period stains can sometimes be easier than shaving knicks or any blood that was left after from the first time of sex. I would stick with free/clear stuff, and peroxide. Free/clear so perfumes don't irritate your skin.

I get good results from using peroxide, but I don't have delicate underwear. If you want to try it on that, test it first to see if it will bleach the color out of the man made material, or only remove the blood stain from the cotton. If it's color safe, soak it in cold water to remove as much as the blood as possible. Then use the peroxide, as much as it takes to remove the rest of the stain. Sometimes you have to squeeze the peroxide out and start again with fresh.

Cold water as close to fresh stained is best. Sometimes that's all it take. But if it's been awhile, then try one of the oxygen bleaches like Oxyclean. They are very gentle for any fabric.

I have had good luck with Dual Power Spray 'n Wash. I stained a pair of cream colored panties and it got all of the blood out of the crotch. There was still a small stain along the elastic part of the leg opening; however, it's not that noticeable. Overall, this is the best product I've found for blood stains.

"Vivid" bleach for colors gets out blood every time. I don't think it will work if the garment has already been laundered. Pour it directly on the stain and then wash.

  • Soak them in cold water for a couple of hours. I've never tried it on old blood stains, but I know it works wonderfully when they're still fresh.

There's a really good stain remover called Zout. It's sold at Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and also Drugstore.com. It has taken out even fairly OLD bloodstains and also red wine.

Always use cold water. I soak it first, then use bar soap, and then use hydrogen peroxide if the soap didn't get it all out. You can also try an Oxy product, but I found they never worked as well as Ivory soap!

I really only have cotton panties, but Shout Advanced works like a charm for me. Also I never put them in the dryer til the stain is removed. Sometimes that means the same pair of underwear goes in 3 loads in a row. Lol. Hydrogen peroxide is also good & shouldn't harm the fabric. Wash them cold or the stain will set!

Handsoap, put some on ur panties and us a little water, I like luke warm, then rub it out by rubbing the material together and using ur fingers with just a little pressure till u see the spots are gone (it might look like u spread the blood every where but now the soap is tinted with blood) rinse n repeat till its gone. This works as long as u hadn't. Washed and dried them in the dryer yet.. even if u weren't able to get to them right away or even the next day like I said as long as they weren't wash and dried in the dryer. And then if ur doing ur laundry then throw them in if your not yet leave a little soap in them and put them where you want until your laundry will be washed they'll be fine... this always works for me..

It's a piece a cake! Just damp yr panty and put bar soap on the stained part. Soak it +-15minutes, then hand-wash it. Voila!

Hydrogen Peroxide works on any fabric - apply carefully with a cotton bud. I have used on a silk blouse and it works so should on your knickers. Won't ask where the blod came from ? Paula xx
