Why do some people believe that having a talent, or a material possession that most others do not possess, somehow makes them better?

    i think that most people dont see it as being 'better', but different. it is what seperates people from the normality is what makes people special. i dont believe that any one person is better than another, but i would use words such as different or special. does that make sense?
