I have am using a Mac with Virtual PC and Quickbooks Pro 2001 for Windows. Is there any difference between this and just using the Mac version? Any advantages / disadvantages?

In brief the difference is the limited amount of characters in the description field of invoices in the Mac version. It is limited to 99 characters due to a database issue and that it is one of the most requested features. It may or may not show up in a future version depending on how easy it is to make it compatible with the database issues. Generally, there is a lack of features in the Mac version compared to the Windows one.

i think if you used the mac version and could deal with its character limitations it would free up resources not to be using virtual pc to run programs
