  • For frugality you can't beat cooking at home which is what I typically do. When I do go out (budgeted for three times a week, typically once a week) I like to go to sit-down places. Mostly I find the food to be better quality, it costs more but you get what you pay for. I will occasionally do fast food but then its limited to Wendy's, Arby's, Subway, or similar. I will not touch McDonald's or Burger King anymore as there is something in the grease or other ingredient that has the unpleasant effect of causing me to cough up a ton of phlegm for the next few hours afterwards. As a side note, I've found that going to a sit-down restaurant can be a very good way to get to know someone's real nature. If they treat their server poorly and/or tip poorly then usually they aren't very nice people overall in my experience.
  • i mostly preferred home cook meals (that's why i cook it myself) because it's much healthier than fast food
  • There is many restaurants in my area that are about the same price as fast foods.Even if the price is 20% more my body and my health is worth that.Fast food is the fasted way to living an unhealthy short life.
  • You can always get the food take-out if you don't want to pay gratuity. Also most supermarkets have food to go now, hot and cold. Fast food is nasty for the most part. Chipotle is decent though.
