That's what I thought when I first saw the advertisement. They even gave the main character an accent (not the same accent, but still).

When I was watching it, I kept thinking "I've already seen this show, and it's supposedly a first run?" I didn't realize I was thinking of Highlander until you asked.

Minus all the cool sword fighting, bad acting and Sean Connery.....yeah, its exactly the same. Seriously, it has similarities, but Highlander was a bad series of movies that was somehow cool. This just seems like a show that will drag on forever.

It is totally a rip-off of the Highlander Idea, even close to the same dates. Sure he can have kids, but it so sounds like the same set up top me. They aren't filming anymore episodes so I don't think it is doing very well.
