I wouldn't get mad, but I'd be upset, not so much at the person, but at the fact that someone thinks I look older then I really am.

I would be thrilled. People always guess my age at about 10 years younger than it is. From a respectability standpoint, I really wished I looked 45. Sometimes I just feel like Rodney!

That would depend on if they asumed I was older or new how old I was and then told me I looked older. At my age I don't want to look older.

Mad? No....but I do get annoyed. I've had gray hair for over 20 years (since my early 20s in college)and I have dyed it since then to cover it. And, since I lost a bunch of weight, I actually look younger. But, my s/o has a very young face, and I'm frequently mistaken as her mom! we are less then 10 years apart, but she looks so young (and she's 35), that she still gets carded when she orders a beer. Oh well...

I wouldn't be mad, I'd just wonder exactly who they were looking at. I honestly get people who look at me funny when I buy cigarettes (I'm almost 24) and ESPECIALLY when I buy alcoholic drinks. Most people think I'm around 18-ish. If I looked 28-30 I would seriously wonder how good their eyesight is.

It was a very hard time for me and in my life. Which you could tell just by looking at me. I was only eighteen and was mistaken for forty. And no it didn't bother me then nor does it now as I sit here looking back.

Hell, I might prefer it *shrugs* Currently people keep thinking I'm under-aged (I'm 18, not 16!), which is a bit annoying because I keep having to show everyone my drivers license whenever I want to do anything : P Really though, I don't care if people think I'm 80... It doesn't change who I am, just how they perceive me (and frankly, perceiving someone as 5 years older than they really are when age is actually very difficult to determine accurately from looks or personality, so their perception is hardly that bad...). Hehe, infact I find it rather funny that people care so much about what age people think they are (I actually laugh sometimes when people make a fuss about lying about their own age... as if it really matters : D )

No, but It bothers me when people say I look 5 years younger....specially at work, the customers ALWAYS say, "So, are you going to help me? aren't you like 14 or something?" ugh!! LOL :)

I get told I look like I'm 15 all the time.. I'm turning 21 next month, and I still get the "No way!! When you're 50 you'll look like you're 25 man!!" comments. Hey, I cant help it. Nobody in my family ages fast. So if I was told I looked 5 years older than I am, I'd take that as a compliment!

i dont think i would be very happy about it. im about 14 1/2 and ive been mistaken for an 18 year old in restaurants before... i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing though

If I got mad everytime I heard that, I would have already killed someone by now. I have always looked a little older than I really am. I wore a size 11 shoe in 8th grade and had stubble on my face by high school. When i got recruited to play football in college, a couple of my teammates asked me what junior college i went to. They were shocked when I told them that I was just a freshman, not a juco transfer. It has pretty much been the story of my life.
