    Christie's style... closed room cosies, are popular among women, as opposed to hard boiled detective more popular among men. Poison is a woman's weapon... She knew her audience and played to them.

  • During World War I Agatha Christie worked in a dispensary. From this job, she acquired an expansive knowledge of poisons. Simply put, she wrote about what she knew best.
