Art History. Our teacher was one of those amazing people who inspires everyone in class. Everyone truly enjoyed the class. She didn't worry about dates and memorization of art pieces, she wanted us to think about what was the social, religious and political climate that contributed to the art/architecture/music of that period.

Oceanography in high school. We lived on an island and one of my tankmates was a scuba diver... we had stonefish, Portuguese man of war, lion fish, porcupine fish and some other goodies. We kept getting points off for cleanliness though, no one wanted to put their hands in the tank to clear it out, lol. Our teacher was fabulous, she was active in the marine biology community and was knowledgeable, funny and direct. I'm going to look her up, thanks for a great question! =)

One of my favorite courses in college was Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. [Yes, I can hear the eyes roll now, but I was a Math/CS major.] We solved all sorts of outlandish problems in creative ways. I had a really neat, hands-on Ecology course in high school. We visited tidal pools and salt marshes and did some interesting experiments.
