It's true that he didn't salute the flag during one performance of the national anthem. However, he has saluted the flag on many other occasions. It's one small incident being blown out of proportion.

This controversy stems from a photo released on the web. It shows Clinton, Obama and another candidate whose name escapes me at the moment and was taken as the National Anthem was sung. Obama does not have his hand over his hear while the others do. It's unclear as to what the candidates are actually looking at, so it hasn't been established they were even looking at the flag. Even if they were, Obama has been photographed and taped many other times when he is saluting the flag. Some say that the tradition of saluting the flag is somewhat archaic, others don't. But it's certain that many, many people do not salute the flag; you only have to turn on the start of a football game to see that.

I don't know if it's true or not, but what I do know is that he is black and why the hell should we salute a flag that's not ours? Amerikkka never gave a damn about us from the start. They should be saluting us!!!
