  • If you can't concentrate I would say you should take a break, I just hope you did not leave all the studying for last minute, because if you did, cramming last minute, while you can't concentrate, is not going to do a miracle for you.
  • Depends on how late it is where you are... If you can't concentrate you do need to take a break (and maybe a snack like some fruit) from study if nothing else. A break can really refresh your mind. I used to wash the dishes or clean the house for a break, but that is me! If a break and a snack it should recharge your mind, but if it is too late - indeed go to bed and get up early and study - although there may be limited success with last minute studying, but any study is better than none!
  • If you were to burn the midnight oil, the next morning you'll find that 60% of what you gain last night disappeared. Many students including me develop this kind of habit which actually appears ineffective. Last minute work is never encouraged to anyone. If you think you can concentrate more tomorrow morning, then have a good night sleep before you start another day.
  • Yes, or do something else for a bit and revisit it. A fresh mind always helps.
  • Yes, I have been in this situation, attempting to study for a big test the next day. I have discovered that cramming at the last minute, works for me. Too much idle time, attempting to study, is like a sidebar to me. i find myself thinking about everything, other than my studies. Cramming, works for some........not for others.
  • depends on if you have time in the morning...otherwise take a break and come back in a while
  • If you cant concentrate you should chill a little and listen to some songs for a while to get the paper out of your head..then study as much as you can so that you have time to study and revise the next day....if you want to complete it that night then drink some coffee to help you stay awake...well this works for me.
