Help answer this question below.
According to my dog, no.
Yes, but it isn't actual sounds they make, but rather chemical reactions towards the environment they are in. Like for example, if a plant is in a climate that it doesn't like, it doesn't cry, but rather the leaves droop and it tends to look "sad".
Possibly but their speech is so slow and quiet that you would have to have a very sensitive piece of recording equipment in order to record the sound that they make. You would have to record the sounds they were making for a very long period of time and load the recording onto a PC in order to speed up the recording then you would have to develop a means of breaking down each sound byte in some form of syntax in order to develop an understanding of plant language. Plants may not respond to question in the same way as what we do. You could say to a plant "Fancy a jelly doughnut ?" and after five hours or recording their response you might end up with "banana pumpkin Archibald wombat". Which might mean anything but years later you might realise what the plant meant as inter species communication becomes a whole new area of investigation as you have set of a new trend of plant recording.
It could be the plant said "Don't be stupid doughnuts are not made out of jelly"
Well i have some grass that speaks to me.
We seem to be evolving faster than ever. How and what do you see happening here on planet earth in the next 50-100 years from now?
