  • Not everyone's body is the same and there are normal variances on even what is decreed "normal". I run in the low 97's myself. If I were you I would not worry about it.
  • Some people just run hotter or cooler than others. It sounds like "normal" for you is about 97. Take this into account when you check if you are running a fever.
  • Yes. Have all of your mercury filling removed ASAP. Mercury is highly toxic and causes low body temperature and that is what you have. Metal fillings are 50% mercury. Mercury is the second most toxic substance on the face of the planet, second to radioactive plutonium. Mercury does cause a plethora of health problems.
  • I would look into taking your basal temperature and checking your thyroid function
  • I am 60 yo and have the same problem. Lately, I am having severe temp fluctuations like I'm running a fever. Starts with cold chills (bone chilling), then becomes a wicked hot flash. Body temp during these periods can range from 96-97.6. Today, however, it was 98.4. Do I have a fever or don't I? Drs in past just say no problem with low body temp, but this is getting dibilitating. Are there tests my latest Dr. should be running? Lyn G.
  • Worrying about this is pointless. Check with your professional.
