My 2 year old "locked" my Digistar television, I can not get into anything including the menu options. Any ideas?

Unplug the unit. Wait about a minute and plug in. This might reset the tv. BTW My friend grandson did something simmilar to her computer when he was 2.

Try calling the company. They minght know what to do, even if it is old.

My boyfriend discovered that if you hold down on the display button for about 5 seconds, then the TV will work again. This locks and unlocks the television. Hope it works for you!

lol u have quite a clever child, outsmarting you and causing something you cant fix, maybe it wants you to stop watchin so much tele and play with him/her more

LOL My 2 year old daughter just did the same thing and I got some great ideas from this page and the one that said push down on the display button for 5 secs WORKED like magic THANKS I thought that T.V. was a lost cause but now it works...TGFI...

The idea of holding the display button for a few seconds works... that is in the manual. It is the child lock feature. I have different problem. How do you override a password? I tried customer service and tried their master codes. Nothing worked so far. Very frustrating!! No one remembers programming a password, so we have nothing to go on :(

consult your owners manual. there's always a reset, or go to their website

I bought my digistar second hand and some of the channels are blocked. How do i unblock them without knowing the password?

my 3 year old locked my digistar television thanks i only typed in digistar televisions n this popped up thanks it works to hold the display button down

I appreciate everyone who wrote in to answer this. No one had accidentally pushed our digistars it happened to both of them within days. I am glad I finally found an answer for my problem today. Thanks evryone who answered, the solution worked and I did'nt have to pay anyone to fix it.

I accidently locked my digistar TV a few years ago... I went almost a year with out a TV...finally someone held down the display button on the remote...it works fine now...
