If you are a lumberjack or you cut down trees, how do you feel to think that you are contributing to deforestation? Are your feelings any different now that you've read this? Are you doing your job for the money or what? Please comment or answer!!!!!!!!!!

Not everyone who cuts down trees is contributing to deforestation. Just like controlled burnings, it is often a matter of keeping forests healthy. Sometimes environmentalists support such controls, because the entire forest may disappear in a natural disaster otherwise. Most people are lumberjacks because it is a good job... is there something wrong with money? I doubt they intend to ruin nature :-) Everyone has to work to survive, and some people have very few options. I think there are two issues intertwined in your question, and perhaps they should be seperate. Deforestation for the advancement of mankind alone is bad, but having the job is not necessarily immoral.

THe questions seem repetitive. I am an arborist who kills trees for a living ,but that is not all I do. We help people make educated decisions on if the tree can be helped, or if it is too far gone and needs to come down. We love trees and do what we can to protect the trees. If we trim the tree we climb without spikes not to damage the cambium of the tree. Most of the time If and when we deforest there is a Re forestation plann already prepared. Tree care is a good job If you like to work hard and your not a wuss.It is a very dangerous job that you need to be 100% all day every day.
